The idea is great. The problem is in the operation. Some wine bottles the pump seals and it works after a half a dozen pumps, but I have found that most just will not seal no matter how much you pump. I don’t know about you, but when I pour a glass of wine I like to drink it and not play with the seal on the wine bottle. Maybe I just got a bad unit, but it is easier to put the cork back and enjoy the wine. By the way, if you do buy it, to try it don’t buy the extra sealers as I did because then you will just have five sealers that won’t work.

I bought mine in BHV Paris, I was told that this was the best brand available. But then again, there wasn't a wide selection of brands, to begin with. The wine seal doesn't seem to fit well on full-size wine bottles. But I'm guessing it may vary if it was a French wine? It took forever to seal, and the seal would fall out with the vacuum. The product does works but It takes a bit of an effort and takes awhile but it doesn't preserve the wine as well as other products.I couldn't understand why the vacuum kept slipping off but realized the bottle mouths are too big after sealing a smaller bottle. I tried on a sparkling cider bottle which was the size of a soda or beer bottle, it worked! It didn't take much effort, after few pumps the seal didn't come out with the vacuum and sealed the bottle perfectly.
