Is this product made in USA?

According to the information on the box, the bags are made in Thailand. I would add that the bags are recyclable and the box is 100% recycled paperboard.

Are these bags BPA free?

Yes, they are. To confirm go to ziploc.com and click on Sustainability and Safety.

Are this the thin plastic or hard plastic?

Great question! Ziploc® Bags are made from a single Polyethylene Plastic Resin #4 (LDPE). If you have any other questions, give us a call at 1-800-558-5252 (weekdays, 8 AM to 5 PM CT). – Rachel, SC Johnson Consumer Care

is it safe to store hot hamburger in the bag?

Although Ziploc® bags can withstand the heat necessary for re-heating and defrosting, we do not recommend placing hot hamburger in them directly after cooking. To ensure the bag maintains its quality, please allow the meat time to cool down a bit.
