Good battery life and the ability to focus on specific spots are handy. I use this headlamp often instead of using handheld light.

Feels solid and has been durable for the last couple of months of steady use.Very bright! A full charge lasts a consistent 8hrs and still shows 2 out of the 4 bar on the battery indicator.Easily adjustable.

Let me start by saying, I really like this light.First off, it's not 90,000 lumens. It's not 9,000 lumens. And it's probably not even 900 lumens, regardless of how it's advertised. As I evaluate it against other lights I have, I'd put it in the 700-900 lumen range. In addition, it is pretty heavy, so I usually wear it with a ball cap and then use the 90 degree range of motion to illuminate my path.It is incredibly well built. The heft is a function of its build quality. If you imagine a premium, handheld tactical light mounted to your forehead, you'll begin to understand how heavy this thing is.The illumination range isn't anywhere close to the advertised 550 yds. In fact, without using the zoom function, you get about 150 ft, but that 150 feet is well lit.I have a 16 year old beagle that has to walk 4 times/day and one of those walks always ends up in the 9-10pm range. On our walks, we have encountered a number (3) of mountain lions and managing a dog leash in one hand and a flashlight (torch for my UK friends) in the other made it rather difficult to imagine self-defense measures upon encountering said mountain lions. This light is a great means to free up a hand for those walks. Using the zoom function, I can see eye-shine from deer (or whatever) out to 100 yards, giving me confidence that our walks are safe. I love this thing. I've worn it in rain and snow and it keeps on shining. The controls are simple and easy to use. I've been using it for over a week on a single charge and I've seen no degradation in brightness. If you need a head lamp to free up your hands for work/play in the dark, this guy does the trick. I'm an avid hunter and I have several head lamps that I've used, but the functions and brightness of this one are great for the price. DO NOT buy this if you are simply looking for a path illuminator after dark. DO buy this if you need to have a well lit, large area to illuminate and you want the ability to zoom out to pick out objects at distance.

I would most likely recommend this to everyone who night fishes except for the fact that they shipped used worn out batteries. Amazon wants me to return the interested order instead of shipping out new batteries. I bought and paid for a New headband light which should have also included new Batteries yet they slipped 3 used Batteries into the box. It took 6 hours to charge up the batteries and within 45 minutes they went completely dead the very 1st night out. As for brightness once I figured out that you have to pull out or push in the light for spotlight or flood lighting features the Light was extremely bright for the short time that the batteries held up. The distance of the spot light is roughly 150 yards which I was shocked as well as pleased about.

Just a tad heavy with three batteries in it but a powerful beam that lasts long enough for short projects. I would not recommend it for heavy duty service like firefighting or caving.

My husband who is a railroader originally loved this lamp but it stopped holding a charge and the zoom broke less than a year in and it’s impossible to get ahold of the company for a replacement.The warranty button on the item tells you to go to the companies website but doesn’t link a website, so that’s a dead end.Update 4/3/24: we bought a second one hoping the first one breaking was a fluke. It also broke in less than 6 months. You can’t get ahold of them for the warranty. Don’t buy this junk.

We tried many other levels of brightness and this was our break through. Lasts out in the long cold winter nights. Fits snug. Kind of heavy. Still doable. Repurchased because I broke the bulb.
