Wildkin 12-inch Kids Backpack – Padded, Adjustable, Ideal for Daycare & Travel, Mermaids, Pack 'n Snack

I bought this little backpack for my 16mo as a replacement for the giant diaper bag we've been carting around.We purchased the mermaids on the blue background, and it is adorable and vibrant. The size is a little bit bigger than I envisioned, but that's on me for not breaking out a ruler before ordering. The size is actually perfect for what I use it for, but it is a little big for her at this point (22lbs, 32in tall).I love the insulated section in the front, and the spot for a water bottle on the side holds a Munchkin cup easily without it falling out.The inside easily holds 5-6 diapers, a pack of wipes, 2 changes of clothes, the mandatory babydoll, and my wallet/keys. It easily fits under our stroller, and the strap is big enough for me to easily slip over my shoulder.

We ordered this for my 4 1/2 year old to take to preschool. She is really tiny for her age and regular size backpacks looked like they were trying to eat her. For reference, she is 38.5 inches and 30lbs, and this is the perfect size for her. I can't speak to durability because it's only been in use for a couple of weeks, but it looks pretty well made and for my little mermaid obsessed girl, the pattern is adorable and perfect for her. My daughter only goes to preschool half days so if you are packing a lunch and have to have a change of clothes in the backpack all the time like we do, it would probably all fit (depending on the lunch box) but might be a tight fit.

I bought this for my preschool daughter, thinking it looked small and would be good for a lunchbox. It is way too big to be a lunch box: it's full backpack size, although a little shorter than a backpack for an elementary child would be (fits preschool through maybe first grade sized girls). It is large but carryable on my average-sized preschooler, with lots of room inside. So, although it was too big to use as a lunch box, it fits her lunchbox in the large pocket (with room to spare), her water bottle in the mesh side pocket, and any other miscellany in the smaller pocket. She loves feeling like a Big Girl. She's also uses it for slumber parties or going to grandma's house, and can fit all of her overnight items, including a blankie, in it.

I bought the mermaid backpack for my 20 month old daughterfor Christmas to take to daycare as the older kids all had backpacks. She was so excited that she would not take it off to go to bed. She's tiny (19 lbs) but she feels comfortable carrying it with a few toys and her water bottle. It's a great size and large enough that she'll be able to use it for a few more years as there's a good amount of room in it.

Love this back pack for my daughter to carry toys but could not use for school since it is slightly too small to hold a school folder. Otherwise, it is great quality and very cute!
