Q: Does yellow wire operate same as the red one? I need more information.

No The yellow/green wire is the high voltage return wire. It goes to the collection plate. The dull brownish red wire is the neg. high voltage lead. It goes to the ion emitter. The red wire is the input power lead. It goes to the hot 110vac source. The black wire is the neutral input power lead. It goes to the neutral side of the 110vacn (large prong on the plug)

Q: Which wire is which? also i’ve been trying for days to cut it on i attached two 9v batteries but nothing. can you please elaborate wires

The bright red and black wires are for the 110v, ie red is hot, black is negative. The duller red is the positive output, the green/yellow is the negative return. This device requires 110-120 volts, it will not work off 9v batteries.

Q: Does this generate ozone?

I am 90 % certain it produces ozone. It definitely creates a smell in the air near the electrode which I believe is in fact ozone. Short answer: yes
