Q: Is the small bowl good for hold car and house key?

Probably a little too large unless you have a family of seven. It can hold 6 banana's, 6 pears and 6 oranges without a problem. I use it as center piece fruit bowl for my kitchen island.

Q: What is the pproximate size of bowl?

3.5" tall or deep x 10.5" wide.

Q: does this item "bowl" all the way to the center of the inside, or does it become flat in the center?

I guess you could say that it rounds in the bottom, but you should know that the one I got was very shallow. The measurements were way off in the items description. It's very pretty but doesn't hold much.

Yes...1 large chef size or 3-4 side salads.
