Does this work with bambino plus?

It doesn’t work with the regular Bambino

why does it not work on the bambino? At least one reviewer says it doesn't work on bambino, without explaining why.

Can you remove the plastic part?

A hacksaw or shop saw would probably work, but then you would have two pieces of junk. Better to just throw the whole thing away and go to a cafe.
