Welcome, Dangerous Life

To preface my review, I will admit I don't like a lot of poetry. This collection was just the thing to turn that view around. This is a book of poetry that is both accessible and profound. It uses accessible language and conveys ordinary experience, only to then make an observation that shifts your entire perspective. The author recognizes the profound nature of everyday life, the evolution of internal thoughts to philosophy and meaning, and the ways to use language that are simply "yummy." If all poetry could be this way, I'd be a lifetime addict.

These poems will stay with you! So many great lines, images, and observations. Some of the poems are rather understated and funny, others are complicated and mind-bendy. All are thoughtful and gorgeous. Really enjoyed this read.
