When science and sorcery clash, the result is explosive in this sequel to A Certain Magical Index from the studio that brought you Shakugan no Shana! The Book of the Law—an encoded grimoire containing catastrophic magic—has been stolen, so naturally Kamijo, Index, and a few familiar faces join in the crusade to protect the one nun who can decipher the powerful text. But as the group battles church sects and holy assassins, they realize that discovering who their true enemy is may be more difficult than saving the sister. Meanwhile, an organization known as the Science Society resurrects an esper-producing program, a school festival brings out the competition—and drama—in the student population, and a mysterious figure negotiates the purchase of a sacred relic that could threaten the future of Academy City.Bonus Content:Disc 1 - A Certain Magical Index II Season Two - Part One:Episode 2 CommentaryDisc 2 - A Certain Magical Index II Season Two - Part One:Episode 7 CommentaryTextless Opening Song - No Buts!Textless Closing Song - Magic WorldTrailersDisc 3 - A Certain Magical Index II Season Two - Part One:Episode 14 CommentaryDisc 4 - A Certain Magical Index II Season Two - Part One:Episode 22 CommentaryTextless Opening Song - No Buts!Textless Opening Song - See VisionsTextless Closing Song - Magic WorldTextless Closing Song - Memories LastU.S. TrailerTrailersDisc 5 - A Certain Magical Index II Season Two - Part Two:Episode 2 Commentary Disc 6 - A Certain Magical Index II Season Two - Part Two:Episode 7 CommentaryTextless Opening Song - No Buts!Textless Closing Song - Magic WorldTrailersDisc 7 - A Certain Magical Index II Season Two - Part Two:Episode 14 CommentaryDisc 8 - A Certain Magical Index II Season Two - Part Two:Episode 22 CommentaryTextless Opening Song - No Buts!Textless Opening Song - See VisionsTextless Closing Song - Magic WorldTextless Closing Song - Memories LastU.S. TrailerTrailers]]>

A Beginning to the Third Season
I've probably watched anime longer than most of you (I watched Astro Boy in first run on a B&W TV!), and there are certain things I like more than other things: I like heroes who lay it on the line, who accept the challenge, who stand between Danger and Everyone and Everything else. (Similar stories can be found in the old TOEI classics of my youth Horus, Prince of The Sun (Little Norse Prince) , The Wonderful World of Puss 'N Boots , and Animal Treasure Island .)There were a couple of warnings that quality was starting to slip in the second season. The first was the identity of the main villain, the Roman Catholic Church. To begin with, this was better than most modern American television or movies in that they recognized a difference between the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant churches; however, despite the cleverness of the story, the portrayal rather quickly degenerated into young, busty, beautiful, skimpily attired nuns... Not that I have anything particularly against that, but it certainly called the rest of their research not to mention their underlying motives into question... Nevertheless, that along with the brilliant humor of the middle part of the series had me thinking this was another brilliant effort until I reached the last story arc, which was basically just a prelude to the third season ( A Certain Magical Index: Season 3, Part 1 (Blu-ray/DVD Combo) and A Certain Magical Index: Season 3, Part 2 (Blu-ray/DVD Combo) ) that would take several YEARS to get finished, which is no way to end a TV series even temporarily.Note: As near as I can determine right now, the series should be watched in the following order: A Certain Scientific Railgun: Season 1 (Blu-ray/DVD Combo) , A Certain Magical Index: Season 1 (Blu-ray/DVD Combo) , A Certain Scientific Railgun S: Season 2 (Blu-ray/DVD Combo) , this set, and A Certain Magical Index: The Movie - The Miracle of Endymion (Blu-ray/DVD Combo) .

It came in a jiffy. Nothing crazy in its wrap nor damaged
The only thing i didnt like was how it was presented to my door. But the condition of the contents was well received of care. I needed this for my love of the dub since crunchyroll hasnt rolled it over. Tindle fan. Im so grateful i could find it. Thank u for having it in stock.

Interesting and well planned show.
Was a great show, really good acting and good opening and closing songs. Blended science, fantasy and action with hints of drama with slight comedy.

Broken
I got the box in with Index Season 1 and Railgun S. This is something I've been waiting to get for a while. Only downside is the whole back of the box set is ripped, almost falling off. The box cannot snap close because the bottom latch is broke as well. The paper sleeve is fine and none of the discs look bad but my box set was definitely dropped.

Got Season 1? Gotta get Season 2!
If you liked Season 1, you have to get this one! It's just as good! It ends with the catch that there will be a 3rd season. There better be, because it deserves it. Even if it's only 12 or 13 episodes this time!

All aboard the crazy train
This show starts off with a slice of life in the lives of the characters. Then it branches into festival that celebrates school sports day. Then all out war breaks out between science and magic with a many religions thrown in as well.

Tolle Serie

a certain magical index / a certain scientific railgun
when you look at a anime-series as a fan its very important to have the continuation of the story, it's a real shame that distribution of anime in English (not that i mind Japanese with English subtitles, actually prefer those) in Western Europe is so slow.A certain magical index // A certain railgun are intertwining anime, the story is very good, it does contain some graphic violence. I think most anime fans will enjoy it and people that discover anime will be amazed by it.Not going to tell the story, i will leave you to discover this, i will just add that is combines science, religion, the super natural, comedy, drama and a bit of drama, with an amazing protagonist that gets bitten a a lot and refers afterwards to his rotten luck :)the order to see watch these anime's is:1. Index eps 1-6 (Explains how Tomo looses his memories, some people prefer to watch railgun 1-16 firs, feel free follow you own desire)2. Railgun eps 1-163. Index eps 7, 8, & 94. Railgun eps 17-245. Railgun S eps 1-106. Index eps 10-14 & Railgun S eps 11-16 coincide with each other!!7. Index eps 15-248. Railgun S eps 17-249. Index II eps 1-710. Miracle of Endymion movie11. Index II eps 8-24
