Great Lamp
Great lamp. Easy to install. No more ballasts. Have 7 - 4' fixtures in the garage. The fluorescent lamps kept going out. Typically, due to the ballast. Especially in the winter when it is cold. Ballast are difficult to find and have become very expensive, so decided to make the swap to LED. Original lamps were T12 the new lams are T8 and you would not know the difference. Garage is once again well illuminated to work in. I have two leads coming off each tombstone. 2 Reds and 2 Blues from one end of the fixture and 4 yellows from the other end of the fixture. I tied all four yellow leads from one end of the fixture to the white (neutral) lead and the two blue and two red leads at the other end of the fixture to the black (line) lead. As they say black to black, white to white throw the switch and it will light. I then marked the ends of the fixture with a sharpie noting which end is "L" and which is "N" when the lamps need to be replaced. They will need to be replaced one day. Nothing lasts forever. Recommend when a lamp needs to be replaced TURN THE POWER OFF. My only concern with this set up is that there is now a 110 volts at the tombstone. Since the lights are in the overhead there is little concern of being shocked except when replacing the lamps.

Ease of installation
These lights fit perfectly in my old T12 fixtures. Removing the ballast was simple and rewiring was quite simple. I would suggest marking which end is the line side and which is connected to the common to avoid having to remove the wire shield to determine which end is which. The enclosed instructions specify which end of the LED goes into the correct socket. That will just eliminate one step when it comes to replacement. I would also suggest reviewing the color temp so you get the desired "color" of light you are replacing. Good value and excellent illumination plus lower electricity demand.

Great value
Work as intended and light output is great.

Good lights, but don't forget to remove the ballast.
These bulbs have exceeded expectations. I bought them to save energy, because they're bright, and because they're not cold-sensitive like the old fluorescent tubes. Even when it's sub-zero outside (unheated barn), these come right on. This is the second 10-pack I've bought. Please do not attempt to install these into an old fixture if you are not comfortable around electricity. If you are retrofitting an old fluorescent fixture, please be aware that there is a device called a ballast inside that makes those old bulbs work, and these bulbs will not work with that device connected. These are LED bulbs, and are intended to be connected directly to your mains power. If you are not comfortable safely removing that ballast, either find someone who is or you can also purchase plug-and-play bulbs that are drop-in-replacements.I've been satisfied with mine, but I did have to knock off a star because they started adding "remove the ballast" warning stickers directly on the bulb that leave an obnoxious amount of adhesive residue behind. I should not have to use an organic solvent to remove leftover adhesive :(

1 out of 10 bulbs stopped functioning after 5 mins
These LED tubes are generally good, I like the color temp, best balance between the fluorescent white and the incandecent yellow. One can see the individual LEDs if looking closely, but who does that?!? No flickering. The reason for the 3 star review is that one out of the 10 of tubes I installed stopped functioning after 5 minutes. The others are still working as of now, but cannot tell how long they'll last...I am changing this review to 1 star, as the manufacturer was not willing to replace the broken tube under warranty. They asked me to return the package to Amazon, but I already installed them, removed the existin ballast, and I cannot stay w/out lights in the garage until I receive a new set of tubes from Amazon. Very dissapointing.

very easy to change out
I replaced the ballets type 4' tubes with these in my garage and was very satisfied with the results.Took about 15 minutes each fixture and that included moving the ladder from fixture to fixture.I removed the old ballasts, used lever lock wire connectors for wire connections and put in the bulbs. Each fixture has 2 4' tubes and they cast more light than the old bulbs. There is no buzzing or waiting for the bulbs to warm up, just instant bright light. If the bulb looks different when lit just rotate the bulb 180 degrees to make sure the strip with the diodes are on the top.I plan on replacing any other ballast bulbs in my home with these shortly.

Better than the Walmart brand ones
Two of these light up my medium sized kitchen quite well. I used the rest to upgrade a bunch of old shop lights. It was tedious work but worth it. I like that these have two hot terminals at one end and two neutral at the other, this makes for more reliable electrical contact, especially in old fixtures. Before I bought these I tried the Great Value brand ones from Walmart. They are the type that use the old ballasts. Two burnt out right away and in two separate fixtures they worked until the ballasts overheated and shut off after an hour or so. IMO the non-bypass type are dangerous and inefficient. Ballasts are designed for specific applications and to put out a specific amount of power and T8 ballasts are not at all efficient with LED bulbs. They overheat because they are wasting a lot of energy which defeats the purpose. These ballast bypass type are the way to go.I also added pull chains to my shop lights while I had them open. These ones work quite well:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0828PM2N4
