Mattel - Barbie Superstar Christie, Repro

i wanted to collect a few Barbie dolls that were from the time I played with them. She is perfect and brings back great memories. I got the Caucasian in pink from my husband for Christmas and had to have the African American Christie in yellow.

My mother bought me Superstar Christie for Christmas in 1977. She was one of my favorite Barbie dolls, and much played with to the point of having a broken arm and leg. At some point, I thought I should throw her away, since she was broken. I always felt bad about it afterward, and haven't thrown out any broken Barbies since.When I opened the box today, I actually wept! This beautiful doll is very much like the one I got in 1977. The only difference I see is the floral pattern on the crotch and backside, and the bust darts are not quite straight on her yellow gown (I kept the original gown and boa). I'm in my 50s now, so I won't be playing with this doll, but I've since learned how to sew and will be making new clothes for her. This is one of the best things I've ever ordered from Amazon!

So happy with this doll. She arrived super quickly (received her already at my UK address - never known such speedy international delivery!). Comparing her to my vintage doll, there are differences - most noticeably her eye shape and the thickness of the highlights in her hair. But this does nothing to detract from her overall beauty. I haven't removed her from the box yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time as I intend to dress my vintage doll in this beautiful reproduction gown.

I lost this doll when I was 12 years old - 43 years ago. I never got over losing that doll. So now I have her again.

I love this Barbie doll she is a replica of the 1977 Christe superstar she is beautiful! I’m happy to add her to my collection she is a must have! I got her just in time for the holidays..

I simply loved her, I did think the matterial on the dress was a bit transparent like they could have used a different matterial or lined it but besides that perfect!

the barbie is beautiful, a reproduction of the original Christie almost perfect except for the face that in this version is more like a girl than a woman. the shipping to Italy was very bad, waited a month, the barbie box was put in an amazon envelope instead of in a rigid cardboard box, and it arrived all crushed, the barbie box to be thrown away. the value of the product has thus been lost. I thank amazon for the support in this situation and for the help it has provided me.

Christie/Barbie est très proche de la version de 1977. Bien finie, sans défaut apparent et très abordable; magnifique, elle plaira à tous les collectionneurs.

Als in den späten 70ern Superstar Barbie und Christie auf den Markt kamen, wollte jedes Kind eine. Diese Reproduktion ähnelt dem Vorbild aufs Haar, alles, was damals cool und neu war, hat sie: knickbare Beine, drehbare Taillie, die angewinkelten Arme waren auch neu und gaben Barbie und Christie neue Möglichkeiten. Die dunkelhäutige Version trägt ein traumhaftes Abendkleid aus Satin mit passender Glitzerboa und blinkenden Strass als Kette, Ohrringe und Ring. Der Ständer ist nicht der gleiche wie damals, aber praktischer. Ich liebe sie.

La muñeca en sí me encanta, es casi perfecta. La única gran pega es el cuidado que Amazon, el vendedor o quien sea tienen con las cajas. Al ser una muñeca de colección deberían cuidar que la caja llegue en mejor estado y no con las esquinas peladas o rayadas. Iba a devolverla pero al no tener claro que el cambio fuera a ser a mejor y la baja disponibilidad de stock decidí quedármela.
