Stiff, fairly light, easy build. 26+ rocks!
Never built a wheel before. I used Spocalc to determine my spoke length on a front hub. They were, in fact, the same length and theoretical tension balance. Pretty cool. I also used the square drive nipples that sit a little higher inside the rim without them protruding through. After lacing evenly and poor-man truing and dishing with a zip tie on one leg of my fork, all the spokes were very close in frequency to each other. I'm told by a bike tech friends that it means the rim is reasonably straight from the factory.I used the smaller 1" gorilla tape, 1 layer, to set them up tubeless. The tape doesn't come anywhere close to the bead and it's held air perfectly for 2 months. I just used a regular tubeless valve with no fancy washer. It sits on there just fine.I ran these a little low on pressure with a WTB Ranger 26x2.8 and felt a few roots and rocks squish the tire to the rim on a trip to North Shore and Chuckanut, but the rim is still perfectly true with no flat spots.I'm running this rim and tire combo on a 2010 Float 36 160 fork and I think there's clearance for a Surly Dirt Wizard 26x3.0. Not sure if that will rub, but this did not rub at any point during some fairly burly riding. I used straight gauge spokes, which probably helped with stiffness (based on exactly no expertise).

Wide is better
They're a lil heavier but damn they are so wide and strong it's a great trade off. The finish is quite durable too. I've built two sets of wheels using these rims and will probably build more in the future.
