Amazing but use Gorilla mounting tape
I bought these to use as a temporary solution while I decided what expensive blinds to buy and I loved them so much, they are my permanent blinds! Pros: - blackout is excellent, really makes the room dark - they work amazing on leaky old windows for thermal regulation. They block hot sunlight, keep out heat, and in the winter block the cold! - very easy to raise and lower although I wish they came with a tab to hold. I bought some separately and they work ok. - they look high end and professional! High quality! Cons: - the tape is not sticky enough. I bought gorilla mounting tape and that works amazingly - could use pull tabs, just a minor gripe - if you do not trim both ends equally, they rest at an angle when pushed up. This is my fault as the instructions do say to trim both ends!

Do not buy
A waste of money, a hassle, and damaged plaster. Do not buy these. There are permanent but easy to install blinds that cost the same and work much better. I thought I would save myself some work, and ended up tripling the work. I have bought two of these before in the light filtering version. Those work ok except one had bad adhesive which I fixed with 3M temporary hanging strips. Both of these still work, possibly because they are lighter (weight wise) and in rooms where we don't put them up and down often. These blackout ones are a mess. They are too heavy first of all, which causes the adhesive to totally fail, but the adhesive is still strong enough to pull the paint and plaster off of walls (worst of both worlds). Also, the material is more resistant to pulling, so 1) both blinds I bought would no lower all the way (5-8 inches less than they should (leaving lots of space for light to come in- sorta defeats the purpose of blackout) and 2) puts more tension on the adhesive when you pull. The blackout version also is not as good looking as the light filtering is - looks way cheaper. The other big problem is that both blinds I ordered had defective cordless up/down mechanisms that were not noticable until they were actually hung. Both hung crooked (VERY crooked) when up OR down no matter how much troubleshooting I did. The bigger issue is that the company won't take returns if they have been cut and hung. Their warranty has so many loopholes that there is basically no real warranty and the company is not reachable by email or phone. Your only option is an online chatbot on their website that doesn't always appear on pages and will just blow you off without allowing you to write to a real person. The process I had to go through to get this resolved was OFFENSIVE from both Amazon and the company (which did ZERO) and I still had to pony up to get my plaster and paint fixed. Avoid these at all costs.

BAD REVIEWS ALMOST MADE ME MISS OUT ON A GREAT ITEM
The bad reviews almost made me not purchase these shades. However I took a leap of faith and purchase them anyway and I’m so GLAD I DID!!! 4 of these shades cost me around $80 bucks, which is freaking amazing because in Home Depot it would have cost me $130+ for one shade!! It’s that crazy? Plus these shades are the ones that can be easily lifted up or pulled down with your hand. Yes one of my shades did fall down on one side. However a simple solution is to just add a screw (look at the photos). Add 3 screws, two on the end and one in the middle when hanging it up. Im really mad that the reviews almost prevented me from buying these amazing shades. It would have cost me nearly $500 for these exact shades from Home-depot. Simply use my screw method or even try command scrips (the screw method will hold them up forever). I. Noticed my house was much cooler and these shades black so much heat and sunlight, the technology is amazing! My house is very dark as well, and I’m happy because I have huge windows that bring in much sunlight. They came out amazing and I’m happy about my purchase!! These curtains should be 5 stars. People complain about anything! And there a great affordable price can’t go wrong and I won’t lie to you. Check out the pics. This is a great steal!!!

Please read this review.. I just received my order for this item.. Very disappointed in what i get for the price. The item was broken in 3 locations along the bottom of the blind. No dropping on my part, no careless mishandling of the item. I took off the plastic wrap and well... look at the photo's.. you will understand.. i have one more coming tomorrow.. if it's the same shape as this, i will have to rethink what i use for window blinds..

Pros: + Inexpensive compared to most window covering options. + Can easily trim to a custom size. + Easy to install without ruining window frames/walls with mounting brackets. + Smooth operation up/down without cumbersome cords. + Blocks out sun very well. Cons: - Cannot be fully deployed down with open window, cause the air flow will push/pull on them. - Mine is sagging/drooping to one side and there's no way to fix it. This is the only reason these aren't rated 5 stars. Even with this being a "problem" I will continue to replace my window shades with these ones in the future.

The Good - The blinds were very easy to install. They block light very very easily. The Meh - The cutting process wasn't great. The plastic is very brittle and started to split at the bottom. However it wasn't anything that was too noticeable and the plug prevents it from being a major issue. The Bad - This is a 60" blind It claims to be 60"- 64" It is technically that size how ever you will not get it to get to that length. It was place in a 58" square window and could not reach the bottom and stay at length pulling up about 3 inches. Which means it can not effectively cover more than 55" 9" less than is claimed. That is a significant difference. I was prepared for that, as such I am satisfied with it however if you need it in a window longer than 55" the blind does not have enough weight at the bottom to counter the pull of the accordion design initially. Had the pull back been another inch I may have been looking for a refund. The Unknown - as it uses adhesive I do not know how long or how well it will hold. I have had issues in the past with even 3M adhesive not standing up to the wild and varied temperature and humidity changes in Niagara. The Missing the Cut Guide was missing from the package making sizing it a little more difficult particularly at just a 2" trim.

I purchased this product for my toddlers room as he has a streetlight right outside his room. We received the product on April 1st and put them up promptly. The instructions on how to measure and cut the blinds were not too difficult but not super clear. We installed them the same day and were happy with how they looked and how well they kept out the light (both at night and in the afternoon for his naps). A day or 2 later we noticed the blinds themselves were starting to 'sag' on to one side... this was after only 3 or 4 uses. We figured it was just a minor esthetical issue that we could deal with as long as it does the job. we then started to notice that the blinds were peeling from the top of the frame, and it was damaging the actual fabric. Exactly a week after installing these blinds, they fell off the frame after having to reinforce several time though out that 5-6 day period. We are very disappointed as it took us quite a while to find the right size blinds for the window, with a decent neutral colour, 'easy' to install, and easy to use. Our toddler is now not able to sleep in his room due to the amount of light that is entering and we are scrambling to find a decent alternative, especially considering the circumstance. As the blinds have fallen multiple times now, they have become damaged and will no longer stay adhered to the frame. We are very disappointed and would not recommend this blinds.

Adhesion is poor, like some other reviewers, we used screws and haven’t had any issues since. Kit comes with a nifty plastic guard that helps with cutting the ends and protecting yourself. I used a hacksaw and had no issues. We already had blackout curtains but found the room warming up soo much, with these blinds we’ve seen a serious improvement and think they are totally worth the price.
