Solves so many of my problems
I had a very bulky aluminum hose that was always getting clogged and because of the clog it would collect water from the humidity of the dryer. Honestly I’m surprised I never had a fire with the amount of lint that would get clogged. This periscope solves all of my problems. Yes, it is a little flimsy because it’s made of aluminum. But it was easy to secure to the tail pipe. And it wasn’t too difficult to secure to the dryer. Luckily I had some space between the other wall and my dryer so I could lay on the floor to tighten the cuff. I did a test run and I can hear much better air flow in my dryer vents and all of the connections are very secure.

Tight space problem solver.
I saved some money buying a open box or similar and the item looks like new so happy there. It's thin metal so probably need to be careful with it till you get everything the way it needs to be then I'd recommenced sealing it up with the aluminum tape the HVAC guys use to hold it together and seal all the seams etc so you don't have lots of air leaks. Depending on the 4" pipe you use you might need a pipe crimper too but I haven't got that far yet.I'm pretty sure this will make the tight area my dryer goes into work so it can be tight to the wall beside it and no longer crush the vent pipe like it does now. It can slide about a foot or so so is slightly adjustable too which will be needed.UPDATEOK, the area where my dryer and the vent placement goes is tighter then I thought. The periscope hit the back wall when extended where I needed it so I cut off some of the excess metal and sealed and aluminum taped everything up so it clears. It does work but still sticks out enough to have to slide the dryer forward to clear everything and a bit sideways. If you have a bigger wash area that shouldn't be a problem but this is a HUGE Kenmore 8cf dryer so it takes up most of the space.

Fell apart
This product is not worth buying, We installed it on our dryer but noticed that the laundry room was full of steam and the walls were wet! When we pulled out the dryer we noticed that there were gaps, and saw that the one of the two round end connectors had come off, even when we tried using foil tape, it just fell apart. If you notice one round end is much shorter than the other yet they need to be the same size. Don't waste your money.

Better options at the same price point
The structural integrity of the box itself is strikingly flimsy but ultimately it will sit on the back of your dryer. Like, it works I guess? But there are so many better options for tight spaces.Ultimately I came to a different solution:If you do not already have a dryer hose, they are pretty cheap. You would probably be better off grabbing 2 elbow joints and connecting them to the back of the dryer. That way you're not messing with the diameter of the airflow and there aren't weird pockets for lint to build up. And they won't buckle when you push the dryer against the wall.

Exactly what was needed
Just moved into a house and found that the dryer needed to sit as close to the wall as possible for the rooms door to open all the way. But the vent hole was slightly misaligned with the dryers outlet. This was the exact piece of piping that I needed to get everything to fit just right! The quality is about what you'd expect for thin bent sheet metal, but once it was taped with the vent pipe and ready to mate with the dryer outlet, everything went together perfectly. And the periscoping worked pretty well. So, if this is what you need to make your installation work, then I'd recommend it!

Space Saver!
My new dryer was sticking out so far from the wall because of the huge 5" hose. I despised it. So I decided to buy this offset vent to try and get my dryer closer to the wall. Bingo! This did the trick and was very easy to fit. However, I will say that it's very tricky to put on only because you hardly have any space to do it. But once it's on, it's fantastic. Works great and probably moved my dryer 4-6" closer to the wall. Now, I can actually walk in my laundry room without banging into my dryer. Great product.

Not very useful
This is the right idea but bad design and quality. it's so small that it will be restrictive to the airflow and provides very limited extension and almost no adjustment. The one at Lowes is much more useful.

Fantastic solution to tight spaces.
No matter what I did I couldn’t get the flexible vent hoses to fit properly in the very small space behind my dryer. This Zero dryer duct vent is the solution! It fits perfectly behind the dryer and permits me to push the dryer in place without damaging this unit. There’s larger unit that adjust to greater measurements. I’m sure so many dryers are install with the flexible tubing that just might be restricting air flow. My belief is these SAF-T Duct Zero Vent Periscope units will solve this issue.

Space Saver
My dryer vent and the outlet of the dryer were too close to use a rigid vent but offset enough that a flex vent would crush and restrict airflow if the dryer were pushed close to the wall. This did the job for me.One word of caution: If you have an angled vent pipe (eg a 90°) immediately inside your wall with a stub sticking out of the wall, this may not save too much space. Measure carefully. On my installation, I cut the stub and the 90 fell apart. I had the cut into the drywall to modify my connection. But if you have a straight section of pipe going through the wall, this adapter is excellent and straight forward.

Great Vent Periscope
My wall vent to dryer duct position offset was 4½". I attached a photo looking down into the corner of the room behind the dryer, where you can see how tight the "S" turn had to be to get from the dryer with regular dryer ducting to beside the dryer, and then out the hole to atmosphere. In a perfect world the house would have had the hole right in the corner of the room, and not beside where the dryer goes. Or I could have purchased a smaller dryer, but that's just silly.I've used similar venting periscopes before and this one is as expected. It's a cheap tin 2 part box that slides a limited distance. While it seems simple enough, some DIY step are required. You MUST aluminum tape the finals seams to keep it from shifting, and more importantly keep the air from escaping. So be sure to buy a roll of foil/aluminum ducting tape (not to be confused with regular grey duct tape that will dry out and crack from the constant dryer heat). Also, when you slide the box together more, it creates excess metal on each end that you may want to trim off with some tin snips. I trimmed mine on the folds, folded the excess on the ends and taped it all down to seal it up (like wrapping a present). That way you could un-tape it someday and adjust and re-tape if you got a new dryer or home.Long story short, this thing allows you to vent around tight corners without sacrificing on airflow, but does require some DIY measuring and pre-taping.

Not what I expected
Product didn’t work for me. Not easy to modify at home either to make work. I ended up garbaging it
