PetrodexFinger Toothbrush for Cats and Dogs, 5 count

These gloves work great! I use them to brush my kittens teeth and he is about 4 months old. I started brushing his teeth when I read online that Maine coon cats are prone to getting gingivitis/periodontal disease. Since learning this, I brush his teeth every other day using these gloves along with virbac toothpaste. The only thing I will say is that if you are using a flavored toothpaste (the virbac is poultry flavored) watch out! My kitty loves the flavor of virbac and has taken a bite or two at my finger thinking it was food. Other than that it works great. I feel like the gloves would work much better than a toothbrush since they're not bulky and awkward and also you can feel where your brushing. They fit great on my hands, I usually wear about a size medium in gloves. Another thing I will add is that since I started brushing my kitty's teeth (maybe a week now) I can already tell that his breath has improved! Highly recommend.

These gloves make it really easy to get in there and brush my cat's teeth - I can feel where I'm brushing, which helps a lot. I just wish they were cheaper. I paid a little over a dollar per glove. They seem to be reusable, but the one I used already has a hole in it (not surprising since I was shoving it in my cat's mouth) so I don't know how much use I'll get out of each glove. Still, of the brushes I've tried, these were the best in terms of effectiveness and my cat tolerated her brushing pretty well.

I have had this in my wish list for years and now they finally came back out with more! I have two big dogs, a boerboel and a pit-bull and it is so much easier to get in their mouth with these gloves than with a tooth-brush. Plus I can feel how much tooth and gum I am reaching. When this product finally came back out I bought like 15 boxes! The gloves are kinda small so if you have big hands it may not be a good fit for you. I find I can get about 2 uses out of one glove.

I ordered these so i could clean my dogs teeth. They r basically a latex glove that is so small i could not put my hand into. Its not worth purchasing unless u have a small hand. I dont know how effective it is for the reason above but i want to send it back to the seller.

I FOUND THE TITLE TO BE QUITE MISLEADING! THIS IS ACTUALLY A "GLOVE" TYPE DEVICE THAT HAS LITTLE BRISTLES BUILT INTO THE THUMB & FOREFINGER; AND NOT THE INDIVIDUAL PLASTIC FINGER BRUSHES THAT ONE MERELY PLACES OVER A FINGER! From the written title of "Petrodex Finger Toothbrush for Cats and Dogs, 5 Count", I thought I was purchasing the individual finger brushes. I was quite disappointed to find out I had purchased gloves with bristles built into them! They worked okay, but my dogs were hesitant to allow me to use them since they are used to the finger brushes. Not worth my time to return, so I will keep them. I do admit that I did not look more closely at the item - which I should have done.

These work great for brushing smaller dog's teeth. The bulky plastic ones were horrible. But these gloves make it much easier to brush and feel each tooth thoroughly. They will fall apart after a few uses IF you aren't gentle with them. But I usually make one glove last for a month (And I brush my dogs teeth EVERY day) Always rinse them off after each use.I think this would also be good for any dog or cat that is not used to getting their teeth brushed. It's very gentle and not as scary for them.Please remember to be very gentle, loving and patient when you are brushing your pet's teeth. Talk to them and pet them during the process so they don't associate brushing with punishment. They already don't like it, so try to make it as pleasant as possible.

My dog tolerates this in her mouth as opposed to toothbrushes. I like that it's disposable yet sturdy enough to be rinsed out and reused. My hands are really small so its hard for my fingers to reach the tips of the gloves (which is where the bristles are on the pointer & thumb fingers). If you have large hands this is effective for brushing but if you're like me then I would save my money.

These gloves are the best idea since the toothbrush! LOL. The addition of the built-in bristles on the opposing digits really helps you "feel" what you are doing and get your puppy's teeth really clean. The big plus is that your hands stay dry and free of toothpaste. My dogs do not mind this kind of tooth cleansing, not nearly as much as using a brush - I think because to them it is more personal; the dogs think you are interacting with them rather than just sticking a foreign object into their mouths. The only real con, for me anyway, is the cost - it's a bit high for just 5 gloves. However, the vinyl is pretty tough, so if a glove is undamaged after use, it can be easily rinsed, dried and reused. I will definitely buy again and would not hesitate to reccommend this product to friends and others.

fits well and not thick bulky plastic like some other makes, making it easy to feel where you are "brushing". Managed to get it in my dogs mouth and made a few brushes,then he began to "object", so stopped. Being the "boss" in this house, I will have to progress slowly, getting him used to the procedure! However, the product is ideal.

the finger bristles are only on the thumb and forefinger, not all fingers. they are very soft and not as long as the rubber over the finger types commonly found at pet stores. with this type of glove you get tactile feedback through your fingers and so you know when working blind if you are on the tooth or gums which is good. also cause the bristles are smaller and its otherwise form fitting its basically the smallest brush you will ever get which is good for toy breed dogs. gloves are actually durable in that i wash off the bristles and use the same gloves over and over again. haven't worn one out yet and that's probably the best part of them.the box when i received it was crushed and opened (due to being crushed). not happy about that, but the gloves were not damaged so its all good. i'm so happy with the product itself i'm willing to overlook this fact and still give 5 stars :)
