Borosilicate Glass Septum Retainer 8g 8 Gauge

Having surgery done, and can’t wear my normal metal jewelry. This fits perfectly! I might secure with with a couple O rings just to be safe. Arrived fast, packaged securely. Thank you!

The only thing I didn't like is how easily it slips out of my nose and how hard it is to find, lost mine this way. The gap is too wide also, and I have a large nose

I was very pleased to find an 8g retainer in glass to replace the 10g I've had in for almost a year. Unfortunately, this one is inordinately wide. I'm a very tall gentleman with an impressive schnoz in a profession where visible piercings are a no-no. This was really about 25% wider than anyone who doesn't want to draw attention to it can use.Customer service was responsive, but made it very difficult to make it worth returning. I'm sorry, but save your moneys.

It's a few millimeters too wide for my nostrils and by that, I mean that for work, I flip my septum ring up, so having one this wide isn't easy or possible to flip it up into the nostrils. Other than that, the tapering doesn't seem exactly equal but that's often the case with pinchers and tapered retainers. I like that the tapered ends flare out but it's really inconvenient for someone who's job is not jewelry tolerant.

Broke with in hrs. Either weak glass or already cracked. Stick with steel

I don't know what I was thinking ordering a glass retainer, I totally broke it after like a week. So I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone who is super active. But for some one who is super careful with their jewelry it would be alright. As well I don't know how hard it is to make a glass retainer but it wasn't quite symmetrical as well.

This retainer is exactly what I hoped it would be. It's well-made, and easily hidden in my small nostrils despite its size. I like that the legs are the same gauge as the wearable area, although they do gently taper to a slight point at the very ends. That being said, unless you are looking for a large, wide retainer, then this product is not for you.
