This "Stanley - SL18116P WetDry Vacuum, 6 Gallon, 4 Horsepower Black" is GREAT!I replaced a 6 gallon SHOP-VAC brand vacuum, that's motor started smoking...(I've always gotten the actual SHOP-VAC brand, and, I WAS happy with it, until it died!)FYI, it was one of those with the chromed metal can. But, THIS STANLEY SL18116P has a PLASTIC CAN, and it seems to be noticeably lighter, when I need to carry it around!The STANLEY SL18116P also has 4HP, rather than the 3.5HP that the SHOP-VAC had,and this Stanley vacuum REALLY WORKS WELL!BTW, several years ago, I fell for those stupid, fancy red-colored upright vacuums, for around the house... but, it turned out that they were NOT very good vacuums. Well, after a few of those kind of poor-excuses-for-a-vacuum, I decided to just bring my SHOP-VAC inside...! Ever since then, that's what I've used around the house, a SHOP-VAC. Actually, I also own a KERBY GEN4 upright, now, that I paid just $25 for, at a Garage Sale! (Which is something like $1,400 retail!) And, the KERBY REALLY DOES WORK WELL!But, I'll tell ya, this "Stanley - SL18116P WetDry Vacuum, 6 Gallon, 4 Horsepower Black" is every bit as powerful a suck-er as the KIRBY, and, it's much lighter, too! (Of course, it doesn't have any sort of a "beater-bar" attachment, but, it DOES come with the usual attachments, and it STILL DOES A GREAT JOB, especially IF you have hardwood, or tile floors!) PLUS, THIS SUCKER can literally LIFT THE CARPET OFF THE FLOOR! WOW!And, I think the PRICE is reasonable, for what you get! It could even be considered a BARGAIN!(Except, I just noticed, that it seems to have gone up 10 bucks, just since I bought it! But, still.)So, whether you're wanting a SHOP-VAC-type vacuum to use in your Shop, to vacuum your Car, for around the House, or WHATEVER, I would totally recommend this Stanley - SL18116P!I haven't used it for anything WET, yet, but, for DRY, it's REALLY GREAT!(NOTE: I did NOT receive this product through any Promotion, I bought and paid for it myself.)
