Gold BJJ Headgear for Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and MMA

Bought because I was getting cauliflower ear. I sweat a lot and if I didn't wash this it would not be wearable after one practice. I washed on cold with other clothes and let it air dry. After a few times of that I saw that the chin strap was coming apart and the small ear holes outer layer was going to peal. Since I don't plan to use this all the time - it's doing the job and when I don't need it I won't wear it. But I would not recommend if you are worried about washing it all the time and plan to wear it just as much.

This head piece works well. It's comfortable enough, I'd prefer to not wear anything, but can't afford my ears to get jacked. It's also gentle on your rolling partners and doesn't cause them any pain when squeezing in that head-in arm triangle choke!

I got this headgear to prevent cauliflower ear when rolling at bjj practices. It is too small for an adult male head. I had to adjust it very tight under my chin. The strap pressed into the area where the jaw and top of throat meet; this headgear had me submitting. As well the interior material was already frayed before attempting first roll with headgear.

After getting my ear drained, I thought it time I invest in a solid headgear to protect my ears during my rolls at BJJ. I’ve been wearing my new Gold BJJ headgear now for a few weeks and am very happy with my purchase. It is comfortable, I can hear just fine during the instructional time of class, and does not slip and slide around during rolls. I consider it a solid investment in my journey…AND…from a cost standpoint, it’s way more affordable then going to the ENT to have your ear drained.

I was worried about having a hard time getting my head out of holds but this headgear fits snug and is low profile while protecting my ears. The ability to adjust the straps makes it a perfect fit and it gets even better the longer you use it. The strap around the neck is comfortable too and I don’t even realize it’s on when I am rolling. I would buy it again.

The back strap fell apart almost immediately. Bottom strap had problems soon thereafter.Update: Increased rating because of quick customer service response. Will see how it goes with the replacement.

I've been training in combat sports for many years and trust me when I say that this product was not made for serious competitors as well, it was poorly designed. ie...The velcro has to be exposed to fit an adult size head and it was stitched in the inside of the headgear which rest on your skin resulting in the velcro scratching the heck out of your head, not to mention the velcro getting stuck in your hair (like burrs). This product may last only a few weeks before falling apart because the stitching seemed weak and there was clear signs (right out of the "box") that the stitching was already coming apart in certain areas...suggest you do your research before purchasing-thanks!

This is my second one of these. First one was very durable, took hundreds of tough BJJ hours for it to finally fail. 100% protected throughout and comfortable for me and training buds.

I was extremely hesitant to purchase any kind of ear protection, but once my ears started to show signs for cauliflower my wife insisted I buy some. I checked out a few different brands but they nearly all felt huge, did not tighten properly, or fell off during live rolls. I came across these and was extremely happy with the results! They feel good on my head, are easy to adjust, and do not fall off. I'm actually fine with wearing ear guards since I found these". My wife is happy and my ears are safe :)

I received this item and the material looks great, the earguard seems to work well but this one-size does not fit all. I am a woman with a smaller head and figured the velcro would help me adjust. No matter what I did, the ear cups couldn't align with my ears which is what I am trying to protect so it was ridiculous. Really not a good fit for small people.

Tried it for the 1st time with some rough and challenging rolls and it protected very well my injured/swollen ear. Good product, good company.

Really good head gear for bjj. Comfortable for both myself and training partners.

Seemed like a decent product but was way too small. If you have a big head as a man pass on this. The rear Velcro(no photo) is not really adjustable & takes little effort to rip apart.
