Seriously listen to the reviews on this one
I usually try to give things a shot even if the reviews aren't spectacular but I should have this time. DON'T BUY THIS! The bad reviews aren't a fluke. It came already completely spoiled. It was gross, all separated and the watery liquid inside had a yellow tint, the smell was pretty horrific as well. I was supremely bummed, I really, REALLY wanna try clotted cream but it looks like I'm just outta luck

Rich creamy delight.
I got this simply because I've been reading some British mysteries lately, set in a tea shop. They were always going on about the clotted cream. So I got curious. In this case, curiosity didn't kill the cat; it thrilled the cat. The closest thing to taste that I've every had to this was long ago with "heavy whipping cream". The texture reminds me a bit of whipped butter. That is, soft and easy to spread; unlike normal cold butter and not runny like warmer butter. Oh, and it does _not_ taste like butter to me (I use Kerry Gold Irish butter). I often use a bit of butter in my hot tea. This is even more wonderful. I haven't used it for much of anything else yet (received it yesterday). But it is wonder when mixed with a bit of British honey (not the U.S. stuff). I will agree with some that this is a bit pricey. However, excellence is worth the cost to me.

don’t buy/not edible/not returnable
DO NOT ORDER. These arrived with water separated so instead of a nice thick cream there were big clumps of dairy in water. Shaking the jar mixed it somewhat, but still lumpy and runny. They are NOT RETURNABLE so don’t risk the purchase. I’m not going to consume them and worse, they were meant as part of a gift. I’m usually on point not buying from sellers who refuse returns but I made an expensive mistake this time.

Not What I Expected
My one-star review is based on my expectations rather than the quality of this product.I purchased English Double Devon Cream because it was my understanding that this thick cream that is used to make the separate level at the top of Irish Coffee. I was expecting a thick cream that would float when poured over a hot spoon on top of coffee. As most of you probably know, double cream has the consistency of soft butter, not cream. It’s scooped out with a spoon, not poured. So English Double Devon Cream didn’t work for me at all.I’m now using Rock View Heavy Whipping Cream and it works pretty well. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to find. I purchase bunches of it at Gelson’s Markets in Santa Barbara.

Arrived Hot to the Touch
Devon cream arrived warm to the touch and ice pack completely melted and hot as well. Now I am afraid to eat the Devon cream or serve it to my guests.

Arrived open and crusty
The jars came open and messy and crusty I was to afraid to even taste it. Such a bummer because I needed it for a recipe and have no idea where else to buy this.

Not shipped properly
The double cream came in an uninsulated box and only a solar insulated type bag with two small ice packs that were not frozen and everything was completely warm. For a product that needs to stay refrigerated this was not ideal. Deciding to still use it learned of my mistake. The cream didn't have an off odor but after cooking it, it was obvious the product was no longer good. This is something that should have been overnighted and in an insulated box. I will not order this product again knowing it won't come properly packaged our shipped in an appropriate manor
