I previously always purchased the long life Fram filters but now am sold on this K&N long life. The price compared with the Fram makes it comparable but the K&N is a much better quality manufactured filter. I bought an extra to have on hand. This came well packaged and delivery was quick. Also, less throttle is needed on the freeway, which should mean better fuel economy. A little harder to install because the K&N gasket is made of a stiffer material than normal filters. I have a 2001 Ford Econoline 150 with the 4.6 V8. When checking out you have the option of an outer box; I didn't choose that and my filter arrived in a bag, slightly crushed... I also got a panel style K&N for my 1.9 BMW Z3, and the difference was even more dramatic, like adding a turbo.

I've put a k&n engine air filter in every vehicle I've owned and again not disappointed. Was slightly tight clamping it back into place but I only saw that as having a good seal around the rubber part of the filter. I doubt it gives you extra horsepower but I've noticed better throttle response. I'll continue to use these k&n filters in the future for any other vehicles I may purchase.

Fits my ford excursion perfectly and does what it’s supposed to highly recommend and shipping was fast .

I always used K&N filters on my vehicles and this was a first for me on my v10 Ford rv. Wow what a noticeable difference right away, much snappier take off and I don’t hear the “air surging” (If you will) when I would release the gas before the Install. Fuel mileage wise, I Haven’t done a comparison yet but plan to. Overall It breaths 100% better than the stock paper filter that only makes you wonder why car companies even use them still to this day.

Works great in my Ford E450 6.8L V10 motor home. I cannot say for certain that we got any better gas mileage as we were driving in the mountains most of the trip. However, I did notice that with the OEM air filter I could hear a fair amount of octane ping. With the K&N filter installed the octane ping was reduced to the minimum. In over 7,000 miles I only noticed it a couple of times.
