The waist band elastic curls up so it doesn't lie flat, as it should.

They are not what i was looking for, these are dressy & silky. I wanted day wear for work so will be returning them. Unfair to rate then as nothing wrong but not what i wanted.

I ordered size 16 as it was the recommended size and all my other trousers are size 16, but this one simple doesn’t pull up without a fight! The waist elastic is stiff and doesn’t stretch much. It was quite an ordeal to pull it over the hip area, I’d imagine if I’d had to do that frequently it will eventually tear up. I ordered this for an outing this weekend so I’m not sure what to do right now as they don’t have the next size up (size 18 is not available) and I think size 18 would look odd on me anyway. On the positive note, the cut is decent but it needs a ZIP. Most women who wear size 16 trousers have a curvy hip so how they expect us to pull this up without a zip, I’ll never know!

I read the reviews and based on a ladies 5ft 9” one brought it. Material is lovely and soft but is short. I am 5ft 7” but sits just on the ankle.Have kept it for just slobbing around

These are lovely trousers (navy, size 20). They hang well and can be worn as near as possible at the natural waist. I'd like them to be a bit longer in the leg but on me (5'9") they sit just on the ankle. I wear them to work and out. The navy is a true navy and there is little shine in the material. The material feels good quality and nice next to the skin. The fabric does give as it's stretchy so I don't put much more than tissues in the pockets. The pockets would pull down too much if you put something heavier in them eg a phone. These are very forgiving trousers for ladies who now have a bit of a tummy and want to disguise it.

I love these harem pants. They are a bit smarter than my hippie type ones and they don’t crease. I found that the elastic in waistband felt tighter than my other Roman trousers and turns around within the band but I just snipped it and re sewed it into place and they are perfect now.
