Great for SEL Lessons
This is a great book to introduce the concept that emotions can change throughout the day and that all feelings are ok. The book can also be used to expand children's emotional vocabulary and to help them relate facial expressions to different feelings.

I was impressed with the excellent appearance and quality of this product.
I have no criticism of this product. I will be using it in my practice with children when I would be doing psychotherapy with them.

Feeling Flexible
This book may be used by parents or teachers to enhance social emotional learning for preschoolers and early elementary school children. The book opens with a picture display of hands with multiple skin tones. A little boy narrates the story. It begins on a rainy day. He is feeling sad because yesterday he was happily playing outside with his friends. Now he is bored, frustrated and mad because his parents are ignoring him. His situation worsens when it begins to thunder. Now he is scared and just wants to hide. How will he overcome his fears? Can his parents help him? This book contains engaging illustrations with an easy to read rhyming text. The faces and labeled emotions assist young children to understand that it is normal to have mixed feelings and that they can change rapidly. The book is a fun read aloud and a good book to promote individual or class discussions.

Seemed contrived bad illustrations
It was like someone said I have to say these things and found a way to make a type of story out of the SEL information. It has a good message but feels like it should be free.

Can talk about various feelings
This book really helped my children to recognize and aware different types of feelings. And also they were understanding that it is okay to feel in certain emotions.

Not what I was expecting
I was hoping this book would be about living in all kinds of feelings and how everyone feels these feelings, and accepting the emotions. It was more about naming the emotions. A little disappointed. I will still use it for teaching emotions. I will have to elaborate more when I teach this at school.

Cute but not what I expected
Not what I expected. I liked the last few pages as they were more solution-oriented (or therapeutic) which is what I was looking for!
