N1 Bite alarm set 4+1 with S9r receiver for Carp Fishing

Really like these

I'd been looking at the N1 bite alarms on and off for a while and was unsure as there was little press out there on them. As every carp angler knows space is at a premium in yout tackle bag and the shear compact nature of them caught eye. Also 4 alarms and a receiver seamed cheap at £130. I wasn't keen as they don't have a speaker and there rechargable at first but for a £130 I though I'd have a go.A bought thes alarms a about a little under two months ago and when I first received them I was pleasantly surprised, the presentation case is substantial and well made, but in my opinion way too large, they seamed well built and the magnetic connecters which allow you to take them off the buzz bars was a nice little feature.Once I'd fully charged everthing, the connection process seamed quick and painless. Changing the settings on the receiver is a bit of a faff, but the ND app makes short work of it. Volume and tone settings are good with a decent range of ajustment, but the sensitivity seams backwards. I would of expected one to be least sensitive and 9 to be the most sensitive.Battery life was good used for about 14 days without charging, and the battery icon was showing no signs of dropping.Now the bad points!Found that they randomly go off with no bobbin movement which was really bloody annoying especially at night! They were registering slight vibration in the line, where there was none. My though was it water or the magnet on the roller sitting on the senser and slight vibrations was setting it off. You had move the line to stop it or it would carry on for hours.Due to the size I suspect they have some sort of power saving mode that kicks in to preserve the battery life. When they've been dormant, you can pull a fair amount of line off before you get your first beep. This is fine when the reels in melt down, but no so much with the really finiky bites which I seam to getting ony local lake at the moment.There also suppose to be water proof, yer right! I hate it when carp angles adjust there bobbins and set the rods with the alarm on, so I always turn mine off whilst doing this. Of course I've forgot to turn the back on a time or two so I'm a bit paranoid and like to test them every now and then. After a standard rainy day in the UK I went out to checky my alarms, I know they were fully charged, as alway check on app when I set up. The alarm was cutting out when turned on which I later realise was due to water. The rubbers stopper on the charging point were firmly shut I was quite anal about checking this. When I blew into the charging port a load of water spurted out of the power button and you hear and feel air rushing through.(EDIT) To add to the above I have since spoke to a couple of friends who bought these, and one backed up my above comments the other never made to the bank with them as they would not connect to his phone.In summery I really don't recommend.

I use them for one night then they would not connect to the receiver tried everything I could I would never by of nd again as it’s been so much hassle with there products 1st time I have used them brand new they broke and messed my weekend away up and now waiting for a refund that around a month it’s a joke

Other than no contact with ND these are mint

Very very very disappointed with these alarm.Alarms will not hold a charge for any longer than 8 hours .

Now ordered two sets and both sets have had a faulty alarm very disappointing quality control from New direction tackle

Hi ! I recently bought a New Direction N1 alarm set with all the accessories that fit this model of alarms! the problem is that during the fishing game, the sensors are disconnected from the receiver and now they can t connect! what happened is that they can t connect with the receiver! Please help me, I sent another e-mail to you but I did not receive a reply?

Sur 4 détecteur 1 ne fonctionne pas , malheureusement, plus qu’à me prendre la tête à renvoyer ça !!!

In den ersten 6 Monaten gleich zwei der vier Bissanzeigern defekt. Auf mehrmaligem Anfragen beim Service auf Ersatz, bis heute keine Antwort. Und das ist nun auch schon Wochen her. Von dem viel gelobten Service bei ND habe ich nichts gemerkt.
