I grew up with the straps that always got loose, fell off, were a pain to do. The last boat I had, I had these installed and WOW - I should have done that from the beginning.The hook is always retained and ready to connect - the ratchet doesn't get loose and the ski stays securely down. Press the red button and push down and it will get loose and retract on its own. Hook up, start ratcheting until tight and push handle down - ezpz. Looks sharp and works perfect - can't forget or loose these!!If you rent a Jet-Ski - these should be a "Must Have" item IMO.

I mounted a pair on my battery-operated mobility scooter lift to secure the scooter during transport. The OEM device got in the way and did not hold securely, so I removed it and installed these; they are the PERFECT answer. Simple, easy install.In addition to the advertised advantage of not having loose straps to keep track of, I enjoy a second advantage. I can't stay bent over for more than a few seconds, so using loose/regular straps is a problem. These solve that problem with their quick release to pull out from storage position and quick pullback into it. They have been in the weather for probably half or more of the time since purchase and there has been no effect on performance. I did not use the included bolts as they were too long for my use, so I just used "spares" in my "inventory." Overall great purchase that serves me well.

works great for strapping boat down to trailer

I've bought 2 pairs of the 1' x 6' Zinc units. I bought them in 2019 and am writing this I'm early 2022. I use them on my ladder rack mainly securing ladders and lumber. Overall the straps have held up well. I have had one fail about 5 months ago after about 2 yrs of use. The strap stopped retracting. I opened it up to see if it had failed are come out of alignment. Unfortunately it failed, the spring broke. I have not yet replaced it but likely will. I am looking at other styles that may be more robust but the auto retract feature is so handy when you use your straps multiple times per day that if I have to replace them every 2 or 3 yrs that it's probably worth it.

Arrived on time. Easy to instal, much better than regular tie downs. Third set I have bought.

These things are great! Every time one of my buddies sees them they comment how cool they are and ask where I got them.

I bought them back in January of 2024 wanting to use them for my kayak trailer. Work great, keeps me from going side to side, making sure my strap stays hooked. Giving a 3 star because one of the straps is no longer retracting, and the other one is starting to not retract. It's no issue when I have my kayak strapped down but with no kayak on the trailer I've gotta tie it off so it doesn't drag the ground. It's supposed to be a retractable strap and it no longer retracts.

I bought these to add to my wheel chair lift that is on the back of my car. I was using regular ratchet straps that I bought at a local big box store. They were a pain to use because I could not snug the strap down enough. Than I would have to tie the excess of the strap so it would not flap in the wind. The strapping started to shred in a few weeks. With these they automatically take up the slack making it easier to tighten the so there is nothing flapping as you drive. They also are more secured and heavier duty than the regular ratchet straps. They were easy to install I was able to do it myself from my wheel chair.

I'm in a wheelchair so when I go travelling, my power wheelchair gets put on a fully powered lift platform in the rear of my Caravan minivan. These Auto Retractable Ratchet Straps make it super easy to strap down the power wheelchair onto the lift platform safely.

Excelente producto, en verdad era lo que esperaba. Al permanecer fijos te permiten maniobrarlos solo cuando los necesitas, no se pierden, ni se maltratan, tampoco estorban, ni se ensucian con la carga al estar fijos, son muy útiles

After a few months of use the auto retract system stops working when pressing the button.Unfortunately didn't have a good experience myself
