Tamam has crafted a caring and careful set of portraits of these important women of early Islamic history. She has consulted numerous original and secondary sources to glean from them the essence of their lives to create a reading experience that is moving and insightful, both scholarly and personal. Highly recommended.

This academically researched book is a beautiful blend of poetry and prose. Although I have traveled in the Middle East and studied Islam for many years, a better understanding of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad was gained by reading this delightful book. I expected a historic treatise on the role, enfluence and contribution of the woves of the prophet. A poetic essay, not exactly thirst quinching

It’s not what I thought it would be. The title is very misleading. It should have been “The Wives of the Prophet and I”.

I love this book & the way it is written. Great topic, vivid prose, & singing poems. A beautiful & meaningful gift.

Anyone who really wants to know more about these important Islamic figures and their impact on Islam should read this book.

AN INTERESTING BOOK

To all my friends who would be able to understand the deep facts to get the clear wisdom. Must read.

The Mitrokhinarchives opens up an additional perspective on understanding global politics. I read the part on India, Pakistan and Bangladesh and it helped me understand the politics of the left in the three countries. More important, it helped me understand why intelligence is critical for policymaking, especially good intelligence. The KGB had become too top heavy and regimented which is why it began to err in analysing intel.

Really strong analysis of the impact of his papers and, to some extent, the impact they have had on our understanding of what has happened. Just wish I could dig a bit deeper! Very interesting and highly recommended.

A really interesting book regarding the KGB. highly recommended. Worth checking out Yuri Bezmenov too.
