replacement part for outdoor fountain
this was perfect for replacing the pump in my outdoor fountain. pumps water six feet and has never failed in a year of use.UPDATE: sep 2023 - pump still working fine. need to keep the water clean, or lines may get clogged. also, its good to check to be sure water level is still ok, as pump is not supposed to run dry. Mine has run dry on occasion and it has not broken, but the pump could overheat if left running dry for too long.great investment! recommend this pump

Great little pump - Love the shutoff feature.
The media could not be loaded. I live in northern California where we have had heavy rains last yearI needed to catch runoff from about 20 ft of rain gutter that runs under the patio and direct it nto a trench.I put a 5 gallon bucket in the trench with a little pump on the bottom and here I'm testing it out before I completely set it up.A little pump works great to catch the rain water and move it to a different area so it doesn't undermine the fenceThe little pump worked great

Low-profile, quiet, auto-off feature
About 20 years ago, when our daughter was about 3 years old, she became enamored of a 3-foot high copper and wood fountain we saw at the Three Rivers Arts Festival (which we locally tend to call the Three Rivers Rain Festival). We got it for her and over the decades we've had multiple different pumps for it, on the order of five. This is by far the best. First, it is low profile, so that when the pool runs low it doesn't suck air as quickly as all the others we've had. Actually, it doesn't suck air at all, as if it starts sucking air it turns itself off. Secondly, the flow adjustment on all of the others was on the inlet, and hard to adjust while the pump was running. At least not without the risk of it becoming disconnected from the outlet tube and spraying you and everything in the vicinity with water. The control is on the outlet tube. Finally, it's fairly easy to remove the grid over the inlet; we keep an aquarium filter cut to size in it. We pull it out and rinse off the green bits that tend to clog it every couple of weeks. And we can do it without accidentally disconnecting the outlet and getting a faceful of water. I got a second one to keep as a spare just in case they quit making this model.

It turns off as advertised.
I used it as a sump pump. It worked well for the rough condition i exposed it to. It will cycle on and off until the water level lowers below the case. Its a fountain pump not a sump pump. Compact and reliable.

Pump failed to operate
Pump failed to operate after only about 6 weeks of use. Worked great to start but then just stopped working all together. This is the second Beckett pump I have bought in as many years. Likely will not make that mistake again.

Low water cutoff
Still working after about 2 months. The pump will shut off automatically when the water level gets too low, which has happened several times so far. Not sure how long it will last but it does work. I'm not super impressed with how much water it moves based on the size of the pump since I've had smaller ones that seem to work better but since this one has the true low water shut off in the long run I'll save money over purchasing multiple ones of the cheaper version which is a real hassle.

Dead in a Year
This pump worked fine for my small two tier fountain, shut off as described with low water but just a year after purchase it died. Note to self, get additional warranty coverage even on these little buys!

Good transfer pump
Bought in the beginning of January as a transfer pump. I like that it has slim foot print and turns off when the water isn’t above its sensor. In general it’s a good pump and does the job that I need it for.
