I love mostly everything about this butter dish, the only thing I would change is the knife compartment it would be nice if it had way to clamp it in place. That is a minor complaint though, it is large enough for 2 sticks of butter easily.

Easy to spread with handy tool. Heavy duty ceramic, won’t crack or discolor like plastic or melamine. Ceramic tub is dishwasher safe. I choose not to put top in dishwasher. Bigger than the butter stick size I expected. However I do buy European butters that are block size and those will also fit.

Cute container with a few flaws. The "suction" isn't aligned so it likes to pop up and not give a strong seal. Also the butter doesn't soften much at all, but hey, it's pretty to look at.

I purchased this butter dish because I love the shape and that it holds 2 sticks of butter. I like to leave my butter on the counter, so we have soft butter at the ready. This is perfect for us as even on the hottest day, the butter is contained and does not melt all over the counter, like a regular butter dish.The only thing I would suggest is is having some sort of gripper to hold the butter knife to the lid.

I wish I had bought one earlier. So easy to use and perfect size for all the butter we use.
