Q: Can you run the condenser with the cover on?

No I never do because it cannot draw air from the outside to function properly, but you can put it on and take it off easily so if you turn your air conditioner off and are doing a project or its cool enough you wont be using it put it on. I used it in this way to keep the maple tree pods out. I love this cover it has a pull cord closure and a strap securing it at the base to the electrical input. Just call your HVAC person to double check

Q: does this fabric fade ?

IT COULD FADE IF LEFT IN EXTREME SUNNY HOT WEATHER. MINE IS STORED INDOOR DURING SUMMER. I PUT THIS ON IN THE FALL AND REMOVE IN SPRING. MINE HAS NO FADING AND FITS LIKE A GLOVE. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS

Q: My unit is 32 in wide with rounded corners will this fit

It measures 33" from seam to seam across the top so it should be good. I use it on a unit that is 24" across and I have room to spare.
