Wir haben bereits teflonbeschichtete Pfannen mit Rührstab probiert, Per Hand im Topf, diese sinnlosen Luftpopcorn-Maschinen. Das Erlebnis war immer unterirdisch.Dieser Topf ist genial. Der Griff ist gummiert, so dass man ihn ohne sich zu verbrennen entleeren kann. Auf der anderen Seite befindet sich der Holzgriff, der ebenfalls nicht warm wird.Das Geschmackserlebnis ist unglaublich. Wir haben uns die Kino-Tauglichen Mushroom-Popcorn bestellt (diese gibt es meist nicht im Supermarkt) und waren extrem erfreut. Das Ergebnis ist sogar besser als im Kino. So gute Popcorn hatten wir noch nie.Der Topf war schnell sauber gemacht.Lediglich die Anleitung, wie man den Stab montiert könnte man verbessern, aber mit logischen Sachverstand, bekommt man das hin.

La verdad es que dudaba si comprar esta olla iba a ser buena idea. Después de una enorme descepción con una pequeña máquina para hacer palomitas de aire, era esta olla o pensar en invertir en una máquina de aplomitas de aceite.Vaya sorpresa, la olla es de material de calidad, con madera real en la agarradera y el mango giratorio, con instrucciones claras y herramienta necesaria para ensamblarla. Pero sobre todo, el resultado de utilizarla, palomitas de-li-cio-sas, no aguadas, no quemadas, y con un muuuy bajo número de semillas sin tronar (de 1/2 taza me suelen quedar unas 4 o 5 sin tronar).Solo le dí 4 estrellas por que tiene un pequeño imán para sostener la tapa abierta, este imán va ensartado al mango de madera pero se soltó a la seguna usada. No es mucho problema, solo hay que poner un poco de pegamento y meter el imán de nuevo.No podría recomendar mas esta compra.

I love this popcorn maker, it’s does an amazing job of creating delicious popcorn, however after just 10 rounds of popcorn the handle just fell off in my hand. Disappointing.

This is a high-quality and well functioning popcorn maker. Unlike many that you can purchase at box stores, this doesn't use cheap gears which strip if you've over filled it and the gears start to grind and strip, or work loose. It has a flexible cable which has give to it, if the popcorn jams the paddles and they stop turning. Also, the pot itself is not thin tin/aluminum/stainless like most, but heavier stainless, like a good quality pot. It is good for any type of stove top. Also, it heats up quickly and retains heat so you want to start turning the handle as soon as you've got it on the heat. All in all, a well executed design that does a good job of what it was made to do.Update: After one year of regular use (5-8 batches of popcorn per week) it is still going strong.Further update: Ok, frequent use finally twisted off the cable/spring (that is the genius of the stirring mechanism) at around the 1.5 year mark. The warranty had run out so I went on the company's website and ordered the replacement part. It was $10 US for the crank handle with flex cable, and it shipped to me quite quickly. The instruction manual was clear and I had it fixed in a couple of minutes. Back to making popcorn again. With other models we've had, once the little teeth on the gears wear out, since they are attached to the shaft and not a part which can be removed and replaced, you have to buy a whole new unit. I think the cable could possibly have been made to last longer (more durable material...not sure?) with this Victorio unit, but in fairness we use it a lot. I am pretty happy with the ease of ordering and replacing this part. I still recommend this product.
