During a recent visit to my son's house, he made the comment that he did not own a good suit brush. It immediately sent me on a hunt for a good one - but only a good one, as I happen to fortunate enough to have inherited my father's suit brush, which I nurture as one of my favorite belongings. I was very happy to find the Kent Black Bristle brush, from a company in England that still believes in the proper care of good wool, and to read all the fine reviews it got from satisfied owners. Happily, the Kent company got it here in time for Christmas, and my son was not only surprised, but very touched by the research that went into it. Now that he has had time to try it out on his various clothing items, I was gratified to learn that he loves it as much as I had hoped. His comment to me was that he would save it as a special item to hand down to his son, who he was sure would appreciate it as much as he does - and as much as I love the one handed down to me. There is no sticky roller that can freshen the fibers of good wool like a black bristled brush. Not only do they lift and remove dust and dirt, but they freshen the look of the garment by realigning the filaments, extending the life of the fabric. A good bristle brush will pull out those unwanted balls that bunch up on the surface of a sweater, and lift off pet hair that weaves itself into the fabric. The process of manufacturing a product like this is an age-old one that dates back hundreds of years. It is a product to be proud of and to hang on to. Though most of us no longer employ butlers to take brush in hand at the end of the day, here is a product that will do most of the work for us if we care enough to want our clothes to look their very best. For the person who cares, Kent is the place to look.

Kent brushes are a marvel--particularly the wooden-handled hand-assembled models. I have Kent hairbrushes, regular garment brushes, a hat brush, and now this model that is designed particularly for cashmere items of clothing. All of these brushes are great. Each one is designed and constructed of specific materials that are intended for particular tasks. Sure, there are one-brush-does-it-all brushes in this world, and lots of them do a decent job of a variety of tasks, but from experience I am willing to bet that the Kent brushes do a better job at any of the particular tasks for which they are designed than can any of the all-purpose brushes. Someone might find this to be a matter of no importance, but anyone who likes to have the right tool for the specific job to be done will appreciate these Kent brushes immensely. And, in fact, the particular brush to which this review is related does an excellent job with all kinds items of cashmere clothing. Moreover, along with the high-quailty design and construction of Kent brushes, the materials of which they are all made are excellent. A Kent brush is meant to last a lifetime, and perhaps even to become an heirloom, since just one person may not be able to wear out one of these brushes in a lifetime. And, finally, on some sites devoted to high-end, high-quailty speciality items, including clothes brushes, one can find very nice, probably very effective, brushes for particular kinds of clothing. In my observation, these regularly cost three or four times what this Kent brushes cost. That is not to say that the Kent brush is inexpensive, it's not. But, in the larger world of such brushes, the quality and the price of the Kent brush are certainly remarkable.

Excellent quality brush that raises the bar in caring for my natural fiber products. It easily removes pills. I was surprised to see how well this improved the look of my wool fabrics, yet it also improved cottons. This is worth every penny as it saves dry cleaning bills.

This brush is effective as a lint remover as one would hope for a brush of this price. The two types of bristles groom woven fabric and knits better than other brushes that I have tried, and seem to be gentler on the fabric fibers. For me, the brush is the right size and is well balanced for use, and the handle is smooth to the touch due to the thick lacquer finish. I wonder if that thick finish will bruise when it happens that I drop the brush. In my opinion, the handle is made of very unattractive wood, and it would be more convenient if there were a hole for hanging.

You can’t get better then with a clothing brush made by Kent! Oldest brush company in the world. Once you purchase their products you know why Kent is still doing business today. Worth every penny!

This brush is well constructed, built to last, and feels good in the hand, so it is a pleasure to use, accomplishing quickly and easily what it was designed for: gentle and effective grooming care of suits and coats (meaning no damage to the fabric, even cashmere, while lint, strings, surface dirt, etcetera, are removed). I cannot envision a need for "sticky roller" clothes brushes after getting the Kent CP6 Clothes brush, which does the job with aplomb. Although the price may seem steep at first glance, after years of use, your hiers will likely inherit this brush and continue to use it for decades (assuming anyone is still wearing suits by then, although it is well suited for maintaining other clothing as well) while you likely would have gone through dozens of the "sticky roller" brushes in the mean time with less satisfying results, or cheaper imitation brushes would have fallen apart, shedding bristles, leaving behind more of what you were trying to remove in the first place. The rating is for the brush itself. Still disappointed that I paid for Two Day UPS delivery and instead the item was shipped UPS Ground with a four day delivery, meaning I did not have it to use to get ready for a particular weekend event, having to make do with an inferior "sticky roller" brush instead.Fortunately that will not be an issue going forward.

Hübsche kleine Bürste von guter Qualität. Ganz feine kleine Flusen nimmt sie leider nicht mit, aber alles haarige oder gar leicht krümelige wie etwa Hautschuppen lassen sich von den Klamotten abtragen. Die Borsten sind sanft genug, dass ich keine Angst um Kaschmir-Material habe.

Excellent double sided brush

Beautifully made clothes brush. Very handy size and the bristles are very effective. I have always loved this brand especially the hair combs and this was my first non hair related purchase. It certainly did not disappoint!
