Sideways: The Shooting Script

I happen to enjoy theSideways movie, and really liked some of the lines , particularly when it got to the descriptions of Miles teaching Jack about wine. The movie is full of very classic and catchy lines. Rather than write them down, I decided to buy the script. Amazon does sell movie scripts and on some of your favorite movies having a script can really be fun. It really enhanced my appreciation for the film. I bought two scripts. One to write notes into the script. The other is my general unmarked copy. It has been fun. Scripts are worth considering. A great purchase.

The first time I watched the film, I couldn't get through it. There was very little that was likable about the characters, and I chose not to spend 2 hours with losers. Seeing all of the critical acclaim it received, I decided to watch it again... and loved it the second time around. Reading the screenplay made me love it even more! I could stop and savor the writing, noting how each scene ends provacatively. It's a very adult piece, and one must be very open-minded and not judgmental when reading the screenplay or watching the film.LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

The book arrived in very good condition with NO marks, notes, or highlighting on any of the pages. Very happy with purchase!

I loved the movie. On impulse, I sought out the screen play because I wanted to see how the story looked on paper. The experience was illuminating for the insight it provided me in how movies are crafted. But more importantly, being able to pause at an interesting passage of dialog, to enjoy it more completely, enabled me to control the pace of the story. Lastly, the screenplay is very good writing, and a joy to read.

This script was in perfect condition, and was a great read from front to back. This movie is very enjoyable, and it was nice to see some differences between the script and screen. I always find that to be a treat, as if you are experiencing a deleted scene from the movie.

Followed the film pretty well. Some parts I'm glad were omitted from the film. Some parts of the novel wish had been left in the adaptation.

Terrific screenplay and movie. Highly recommended to study screenplay craft and structure as well as enjoy a fun romp in California's wine country.
