Review: I NEED ANOTHER ONE - My wife got this for me as an early birthday present. I am not in the least bit disappointed. I own all 4 consoles that this works on but rather than plug it in to the Xbox one or ps4 n try it with tekken 7 or injustice 2, I took it for a spin on my PS3 n played all my childhood favorites. I started with pacman and Galaga which were on the Namco museum vol 1. Then moved up to mortal kombat arcade trilogy then king of fighters and marvel vs capcom 2. My daughter came in the room and wanted to try her hand at metal slug so we played that for an hour or so. Last but not least on the ps3 we had the 2 of my favorite games as a kid, the simpsons arcade and xmen. For the ps3 this stick works awesome. I tried it with the stock gate it came with which is the square. I don't know much about fight sticks or mayflash or sanwa (which I read is compatible with this model) but I do know the plate didn't feel like the arcades I played in as a child. The box did contain an octagonal plate which I swapped out almost 10 minutes into trying it. I wanted to see if it would change my ability to play. Sure enough, I didn't miss any hadukens or any specials in marvel vs capcom 2. Plays super smooth and has no noticeable lag. I don't own any other fight sticks to compare it to but I will probably buy a mayflash f300 in the future to compare it to and so that when someone comes over to the mancave we can relive those classic arcade games once more. I can't wait to try killer instinct and tekken 7. Only thing I didn't like was the position of the port that you need to connect your controller to. I will more than likely end up getting magicboots but wanted to try the peripheral itself before spending more than I needed to in case the product wasn't up to par with expectations. Luckily my lovely wife gave me the best gift I've had in gaming in a long time. So now that I've tried this, I'm definitely buying the magicboots so I no longer have to drag a controller along with the fight stick. Ps3 is plug n play no controller needed. Not sure about the 360 or Xbox one. Ps4 has to be connected. The stick itself has a nice weight to it, it's easy to open and mess around with customization. Overall it plays great. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a good product at a great price. I wouldn't pay $200 for a "pro" fight stick. This is good enough at half the price. I don't know much about pro peripherals but this has definitely made me a better player.
Review: BETTER THAN I THOUGHT - I had bought a Razer Atrox for Xbox one the first one the lid was cracked when I opened the box got a second one after 2 days of use the lid on it cracked took it back and got the last one GameStop had opened the box and the lid on that one was also cracked. So I bought this MAYFLASH F500 not sure what I would get as this was $120.00 cheaper than the Razer. I was surprised that this one seem to be made better than the Razer. Had good weight to it and work with all my fighting games. The one thing it has that the Razer dose not have is a Head Phone jack and that I like has I like to play my games with my headset so I don't trouble my wife. The joystick feels good and the buttons are smooth and responsive. Also having a PS4 I don't have to buy two sticks. I would say this is a great stick for the money. If I feel like I need to I can always get the Sanwa joystick and buttons and put them in which is nice. It just go to show that it dose not always have to be a big name $200.00 arcade stick to work good. P.S. update. Just got the Magicboots for Xbox one and it works great no more having to plug in the controller and the headphones still work. I'm now going to order the Magicboots for the PS4. This has been my best investment for playing my fighting games. It's been 1yr and this arcade stick has held up way better than I thought it would and I use it everyday. So the only thing I can say is buy it mod it use it. It will work great.....

**Q: What's the difference between the F300 and the F500?**
A: Both F300 and F500 support PS4, PS3, XBOX ONE, XBOX 360, PC USB and Android System. The difference is that F500 has more functions as below.F500 Enhanced Function 1.  Supports the headsets to output the background music and online chat on PS4, XBOX ONE and XBOX 3602.  Supports the vibration function. A sole customized wrist strap makes you feel the real vibration. (The wrist strap is not included in the packaging. You need to buy it separately)3.  NO cheap plastic toy! Two pieces of metal panels (metal cover and metal base) increases the fighting stick's weight for a solid, secure feel.4. **Q: Q: so as of february 10th 2018, does this fightstick include a octagonal plate?**
A: Yes I just recently bought this and it's come with an extra octagonal plate if you wish to switch it out for the pre-installed square plate.

Swapping out the plates was very easy and only took about 5 minutes to do, having never done it before.

**Q: Are the button size on it 30mm**
A: It has eight 30mm buttons and one 24mm button (The start button)

**Q: So as of August 4 2017 does this fightstick include a Octagonal Plate?**
A: It does and installing the plate is so easy. Its just held on by clips. Take the old one out, pop the 8 way in, you're good to go. Things got like 6 screws. My 5 year old could do it no problem.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great entry level arcade stick

I consider myself a fighting game enthusiast but have always played on controllers or special fighting game controllers like the mad catz street fighter 4 fight pad. I think this is a great stick for anyone who wants to try out fighting sticks. It has a nice solid, heavy build with rubber pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide around in my lap. It also comes with rubber feet you can install if you want it to have a little extra height and friction if you play on a table. I have no basis of comparison for the stock parts used for the lever and buttons but to me they feel great, albeit the buttons feel a little spongey. During gameplay I don't notice. It comes with a square gate preinstalled but includes an octagonal gate if you want to swap it out. There are lots of videos on youtube showing the process of opening up the stick which look very easy but I haven't done it myself. I feel confident that I could swap out everything with sanwa parts if I wanted. Mayflash also provides art templates for adobe illustrator/photoshop if you want to make custom art. It is a great universal stick, although if you want to play it on PS4 you will need to actually plug a PS4 controller into the arcade stick, then the arcade stick into the PS4. I tested it and it works. I think the same must be done for Xbox One. I have not tested on PS5 or Xbox Series X. I play primarily on PC which it works great, but I can't get it to work on Mac and I don't think playing on a Mac is possible. The biggest downside I could say about the stick is the acrylic faceplate covering the entire top of the stick. This is used to hold down the customizable art insert. As a new player I was definitely moving my hands/wrists a lot more because I didn't have proper technique to control the stick. As a result I was rubbing my wrists a lot on the acrylic which caused rashes/chaffing. Now I use gloves with gel padding in the wrist meant for protecting against carpal tunnel while typing. Any fingerless glove would work too. With gloves my experience is much better to lower the friction on my wrist, but also my technique got better so I'm not rubbing my wrists as much. Still, for the price I paid of $75, it is a great introductory stick. I definitely could upgrade with sanwa parts later on, but for the price of the sanwa parts I might want to just buy a more premium stick. Or if you don't mind spending about $40 more, just buy the Mayflash F500 Elite which is identical but comes with sanwa parts already installed. Pro: - Low price - Solid and Heavy to prevent sliding - Universal compatibility - Customizable art - Compatible with Sanwa parts - Lots of tutorial videos online to open the stick Cons: - Certain consoles will require you to plug a real controller into the stick (PS4/Xbox One) - Stock lever and buttons could feel cheap to experienced fight stick users, but should be fine for new players - No buttons for L3/R3/Left Stick/Right Stick (not a real problem for fighting games, just training mode) - Acrylic top face plate can cause chaffing
