Amish Valley Products Peanut Butter Jar Bird Feeder Poly Wood Hanging Cable Outdoor Weatherproof (Black/Cardinal Red)

Not a bird has come to this feeder and it was a very expensive feeder. Nice workmanship & materials so shall try it again in the fall when the birds migrate south. Disappointed thus far since hanging it w/all our other feeders several months ago. Peanut Butter molds far too quickly here in FL. Too much at one time, perhaps it would be better in cooler climates w/less humidity.

I was torn as to what rating to give.The good: construction is great. Poly material should last lots longer than wood. Stainless screws were nice and was put together tight.The bad:I was stumbled on this feeder and thought how great to just put a whole peanut butter jar out at a time. When it arrived I quickly realized it would not hold what I call a regular peanut butter jar, 2lbs. You have to use a 16oz size. Ok fine, However the smaller size does not fit tight and will need a cable tie to keep it from falling out. It just sits in there. I believe the construction could have been better tolerances so the jar fit in tight. The squirrels just knocked it to the ground. I’ll have to modify it. But then again pretty much everything I buy get modified.
