Excellent product and customer service. I love the functionality of this bottom board. The adjustable entrance is a nice feature for the ebb and flow of the year. The entrance incorporates a mouse-guard and allows you to close up the hive when needed. The pollen trap works well and can be removed or adjusted to allow varied settings for the bees to all pass through the trap or some or none at all. The bottom board's design allows for ventilation but limits the potential for light to enter the hive as is typical for many screened bottom boards. The slide out tray can help with pest monitoring and/or trapping. I tend to be a DIYer but find this bottom board to be worth the expense and the customer service was top notch​.

Seems to be a great product so I purchased a two pack. The pull out tray on one had a crack. Emailed Apimaye since it was shipped from their warehouse. The issue was resolved under 2 hours. Apimaye is sending me a replacement tray. I appreciate their promptness!

This bottom board is just great! It has everything you could want and our bees seem to really like it. Makes it super easy to collect pollen, properly vent the hive, and reduce the entrance without disturbing the girls and changing what the front of their hive looks like.The seller got this to us a full day or 2 quicker than quoted, which was necessary since we were picking up our bees after an unexpected death of our last hive. Think the park spray pesticides and they were poisoned. Anyway, great service and we are extremely happy with the board.

I purchased this because I needed some bottom boards, the wood ones were aging. I like screened bottom boards. I put these in as directed and after installing a new hive after a split I went back to check in 10 days to see how they were doing, and I pulled out the tray to increase ventilation since it’s getting warm out and it was full of pollen. I’d never collected pollen before, these are amazing. I know people like plastic less than wood but my wood frames, etc. do get old and I keep them painted and dry but you know how it goes. I think these plastic ones are relatively durable..

I was excited to get my new bottom board but it does not come with instructions and it is missing the triangular piece pictured. I can not figure out how to attach the rectangular red plastic piece.

Works well

So, since it’s winter, haven’t switched out this base with my current one yet. But got it all assembled and ready to go and it looks awesome. The drawer for beetle/pollen collection is super convenient.I only have 2 complaints.1. The entrance reducer slides into the base, and the plastic wasn’t cut right. So I had to shave it down with a knife to get it to fit.2. The holes looked too small for bees to remove dead carcasses from the hive, so I had to drill and make a couple holes larger.Looking forward to testing it this year! I’ll post an update if theres any drastic surprises.
