Love this rug, yes it does shed but who cares? Great price, loved the size I got, the color, even the feel! Not as soft as a shaggy rug but still nice to walk on without shoes!

I have an unnatural love for this rug. Every time I walk in the room, it fills me with joy. I'm so glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews. There is not a whiff of mold/dirt or drop of dampness, nor have a I experienced any shedding. It is soft to the touch but not cushy – walking on it feels like a foot massage – so you probably wouldn't want to use it for yoga or curling up by the fire. It has imperfections, but just deal with it. It's beautiful as it is. If you want perfection go buy some factory made rug that's filled with petrochemicals. It is also not a utility rug and needs to be treated with care. Put your furniture on it and then sit and admire it. What it's best for: people who admire beautiful, natural things, and handmade goodness. What it's not for: those seeking perfection, jazzercise, homes with crawling babies, homes with pets, high traffic areas.

Shipped quickly but package was a little damaged. Didn't seem to have made any impact to the rug itself, luckily. Once unrolled we did find some large "pulls" but I was able to cut them off with some scissors and it looks OK now. There is a slight odor to this rug as other reviews stated. My husband asked "is this wet?" when we were unrolling it as it has a slight must smell to it. I am hoping this is just the natural fibers and that the smell will eventually dissipate. Overall it is a great rug for the price and yes, it is nice and soft under your feet. We are using in a formal dining room that doesn't get used all that often but I wanted something that would stopped the floors getting scratched up by the chairs when we do use it. It fits in well with my décor and is a nice thick chunky weave. Will update review if anything changes after having the rug installed longer than just a few hours.

My original review is below. I really loved this rug for the first month of so. Then the sun started to discolor it. It’s in a dining room with 2 east/southeast facing windows. The rug has turned yellow and brownish in some spots. I definitely would not recommend this rug in a room with bright light.This rug is gorgeous! It’s a creamy white with some hints of tan and gray but overall it’s white. It arrived in beautiful condition and unrolled with ease. The edges/sides are slightly imperfect but even my overly critical symmetrical eye is okay with it. It feels like excellent quality. Definitely a great value.

I purchased two of these rug for our open kitchen/keeping room. The rugs are beautiful and super soft. The shedding was something we could handle by vacuuming to begin with. But now that we have had them for about 6 months it has gotten much much worse, just when you walk on them you will need to lint roll your ENTIRE outfit. They have ruined our socks because once the pieces are on the socks they do not come off/out no matter how many washing and picking it off you try. Even after I vacuum within a couple hours there are piles of the fibers around my rugs. It is unfortunate that it gets worse over time since you are then past the time frame to return the rug. I am looking for replacements for both of ours because the shedding has gotten so out of control. Really disappointed with the rugs.

This is a beautiful outdoor rug. It has enough detail to keep it from being boring yet is simple enough for any decor. It’s mostly flat right about of the package. I have chairs on a couple of corners but am not concerned at all. For the price, this is a steal in my opinion. Very happy with it and will more than likely purchase another.

Looks great - and I do mean great - but the overpowering chemical odor coming from the package is too much. Wreaks of gasoline or some similar smelling chemical. Since it's a carpet with bare feet touching it, I don't want that absorbed into my system. Also, I live in an apartment, so no outdoor space to possibly ventilate it. Though I have my doubts something so saturated in chemicals will just disappear. Even if the odor dissipates. Sadly, it's going back. If it weren't for the chemical odor, I'd happily keep it and order more for other rooms.

I was expecting this to be a thinner rug , very thick , good quality for money but not for me , I am walking into it rather than on it .If you like your jute rugs thick , buy this !!

Soft, comfortable, looks great

The rug is beautiful but it smelt mouldy when it arrived and i aired it for a few days but now the smell isn’t as strong but these dark green marks have started to appear, for the price you pay I really don’t recommend the rug. Im extremely disappointed because i spent ages looking for a rug and this was the one i fell in love with and now its mouldy :(
