I bought this as a second grimoire to store spells for my wizard (D&D), this book is VERY high quality and truly look like a piece of art. A part of me hesitated before I start writing in it, the book and details are beautiful, the style is perfect and the stones are sturdy.If you need a grimoire to unleash destruction upon your enemies, this book is for you.

Quite sturdy and heavy with thick rustic pages

This book is huge - more of a guest book or wedding book than a journal! Detailed patterned leather, woven leather edging and multiple gemstones, all amazing quality. Really happy with this! The cover Is velvet lined which gives it a real luxury look and the double clasp opening is really special. Just a gorgeous book!

I kind of suspected this wouldn't be premium quality, I was right. What do you want for $38CDN.One of the locks is loose. Tassel is really chintzy....spoils the look.Velvet over the inside covers is a nice touch. The paper is much nicer than I expected, I write with a fountain pen and it's lovely to write on.I don't think I could gift it to anyone, the stones are just glass and hokey looking and as I said it's not great quality, feels like it might fall apart easily.I mean all in all it's a cool journal for personal use. Something different but NOT the greatest quality. If you expect that you won't be surprised or disappointed when it's delivered.
