Catahoula Tarred, Twisted Nylon Twine

I've tied someone's front bumper on after a crash so they didn't have to get towed. I've tied up branches in my hedge. I strapped towels to an extension ladder so I wouldn't scratch my expensive quonset hut. I tied up a few 4k-test ratchet tie downs so they'd be tidy in the back of my truck. I strung a row of floating lights in my mothers pool twice with the same strand six months apart. I secured a tarp over a missing section of roof. I tied one end to a bull pin to pry from 4ft away while I installed bolts in the aforementioned quonset hut. Gosh.. I can't remember all the places I've used this stuff. However, these are just a handful of the reasons that I keep ten feet of it in my pocket at all times. I've only gone through a third of the roll and I wouldn't want to be without it on the road, on the job, or even around the house. It is better than twine, but just as compact. It is more compact than paracord and nearly as strong for my purposes. The slight stiffness makes it easy to thread through small spaces and it doesn't fray. It is waterproof and abrasion resistant. The size 36 I bought leaves me with copious amounts to use in everyday tasks and projects. This is my first review that was more of a list than an outright narrative, but I thought this was more to the point. This is a solid 5-star item.

I've bought from them before....a lot. I use this stuff for so many things and it goes fast. I keep extra in the packs, the vehicles and the garage. Easy to work with & binds well. It smells fine.... I like it. Smells like Bushcraft & Camping LOL! I like the size and you can break that down by undoing it for smaller sizes. Endless uses especially for outdoors. Its got just the right stiffness and loosens up nicely. Nice price. Recommend

This is some of the best line to use for bushcraft. Knots will not work their way out. The holding power is great. Just enough sticky to get the job done while not leaving anything on your hands or in your pack. Strong enough for most any camping or fishing job.

Not a ton to say other than it has done what I've needed it to do. I'm definitely not an expert but it seems good quality and a good thickness for a wide range of tasks. I'm mostly binding random things together but that kind of goes without saying given that's its purpose...

This twine works great. I use it for many purposes. I love it for camping it's light weight and fits easily in a backpack. Holding up my portable shower, broke a shoe string and used this to fix it untill I got back to civilization, tied down a tarp over our tent and sitting area, cat fishing (used 1 strand out of the twine to put a circle hook on), son forgot his belt and we made a make shift belt, tied a S hook to a tree and hung our pots, pans, and food off the ground. I love using it in the garden also. Makes a great climber rope for beans and peas .

Great Tarred twine for outside stuff. For the confused it is a string coated with tar. The tar prevents degradation from sunlight and weather. The tar will stain some items use your head.

I bought a 1lb spool of #36. When I opened the package I noticed the “distinctive” petrol smell, that seems to go away or I got used to it, no big deal unless you move to California. Otherwise, this stuff is great! I am impressed by how you can unwrap about 6” of the stuff and hold it at darned near horizontal. I tied Prusik knots on various materials, all held really well. Bowlines, trucker’s hitch, and arbor knots hold really well too. Tarring helps keep the twist together. You can also singe the ends and press them to finish the end. The tar is a little tacky but doesn’t get on your hands; I’m not sure what kind of sorcery is this.

The original and best. Easy to carry 50' in your pack, and has unlimited uses. The perfect "extra" cordage. Strong enough for most backpacking uses like an extra tarp or tent tie-out, pack strap repair, shoe lace, stuff sack drawstring, or lashing cordage for woodcraft projects like small lean-to or tripod frames.

Great bankline

There are so many applications to which I am able to use the #36 bankline for, between fishing, trapping and bushcrafting. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
