No. I wear a large and it is a nice snug fit. Really depends on what you like. More loose go up a size.

The Thermajohn Mens Ultra SOft V-Neck Underwear shirt Fleece Lined Long Sleeve shirt is "True to Size", I do not know about what size would be appropriate for a women. Sorry I could not be of any more help!

The shirt is very thin and tight. The sleeves tend to be short, always riding up your arm. Order 1 size up. I wear this under my thin nylon super hero shirts in the winter during ComicCons.
