L'adaptateur est présenté dans une boite solide avec un mode d'emploi anglais-chinois. Il y a sur la bague un switch O-I. Mettre sur O qui signifie que le boitier (Leica SL) reconnait l'ensemble adaptateur +objectif comme un objectif. L'objectif se fixe "à l'ancienne" avec une bague de serrage (voir sur le mode d'emploi). J'ai 3 objectifs Canon. Le plus ancien (cf. photo) est un EF: un 50 macro non-USM: ça marche parfaitement. Les deux autres sont des USM: un 200 L et un Tamron 150-600: ça ne marche pas du tout. Conclusion: c'est du cas par cas, selon l'objectif, mais quand ça marche, c'est parfait.

Je suis passé du 5D Mark IV au Canon R6Je n'avais pas le budget de changer tout mon parc d'objectifs (50 1,4 / 24-70 2,8 V2 / 70-200 2,8 IS V2 / 100mm Macro L / Sigma 12-24 ART)J'ai opté pour une bague EF-RFCanon en propose, mais le budget n'est pas le même, et parait-il sont difficiles à trouver. J'en ai vu depuis de dispos, je me demande d'ou vient cette légende de pénurie !Bref vous avez donc une bague facile d'utilisation, mais ce n'est pas du canonLes PLUS :- s'adapte sans souci, les objectifs fonctionnent.- pas de perte en qualité, réactivité (apparente du moins, je n'ai pas comparé dans le détail, mais ça fonctionne)- solide (métal)- Le prixLes MOINS :- finition pas Canon (mais pas même prix)- une bague qui tourne et dont je cherche encore l'utilité (vais devoir me décider à lire ce manuel lol)- un petit battement qui ne me plait pas. Quand on voit la précision des formules optiques, où chaque mm est important. Ce petit bruit et mouvement qui se fait à la jonction doit forcément jouer sur l'AF, ou sur la réactivité à minimaAprès attention, pour ce prix, ça fait le job. Mais à refaire, j'irai vers Canon, et c'est ce que je ferai à terme.N'hésitez pas si besoin ou question.Prenez soin de vous !

Well built product. Autofocus works on SL2-S camera using canon EF lenses.

I thought this would be a temporary buy until Canon figured out their 'supply chain' issues (They don't seem to have the same problem cranking out $2-3k bodies). Now I'm not in any hurry to replace this adapter.I have not noticed any image quality issues - leaking light, etc... and am very happy with the price and availability. The connection between the camera body and the adapter is solid, but there is a couple degrees of movement between the adapter and the lens. After a couple dozen shoots (probably 3,000 shots), I did have one time after changing the lens where it wouldn't focus, after quickly releasing and reattaching the adapter, it worked perfectly again. When I have my 100-400mm Sigma near 40mm I have experienced more focus hunting than I would expect. Not sure if that is lens, camera (R6) or adapter - all 3 are new so I don't have a feel for the issue.

I've used this quite a bit on my Canon EOS R5 and it works well and is easy to use.Two complaints: the extra multi-function ring is a lot looser than the ones on canon RF lenses and is a bit too easy to accidentally turn. Not a deal breaker or anything but a bit annoying.The other complaint is that it has some play in the mounts, and lenses on the camera can wiggle a bit. This hasn't interfered with photograph for me but I imagine it can cause problems with people who do more video. It would be nice if the tolerances were tighter, but I can put a 6 pound lens on it and hang it from my camera and it's never felt at all likely to fall off.UPDATE- after having it for a year, it's been getting looser, to the point where the electrical connections disconnect and cause it to glitch. I think if I had only used it on light lenses it might've been fine, but it's not sturdy enough to stand up to long-term use with heavy lenses. Downgraded it to 3 stars.
