Amazing instrument!
This ocarina plays better than my more expensive ceramic one. Although it apears smooth it isn't slippery at all. The holes are just big enough to easily feel the hole but small enough to easily cover, just right. The notes have a very round and full timbre. There is a gradual breath pressure requirement as you go higher in pitch and the last couple of high notes require a lot of breath control but can be achieved clearly. Although the timbre is very round and sweet, not shrill or breathy whatsoever, it is very loud in volume especially at the top register so ear protection is recommend. This may or may not limit indoor practice but is great for performance as it will just through a live band easily, or Carry out a melody through an entire park or forest. Very intune although breath control is required as under/overblown can significantly alther the pitch. I have dropped it several times on concrete and other than superficial scratches that were easily sanded away, this thing feels virtually indestructible yet light. Very compact and lightweight, perfect for travel or edc if you regularly have the time and space to practice and compose. Very easy and intuitive to learn your first scale for complete beginners. Overall as a musician (guitar, didgeridoo, drums, recorder, key board, singer, etc) for over a decade I can say you will rarely find a better deal. This thing will last you forever and perform like a professional instrument. It is not a toy, serious instrument.

Dude, this is surprisingly great.
I wanted to try my hand at a new instrument and decided to go with the ocarina. I played flute in the past and wanted something portable. So ocarina sounded like a good idea. I didn't want to spend too much money on my first so I picked this assuming it would probably have a few flaws. I only needed something playable enough to see if I wanted to commit to the ocarina. LET ME TELL YOU THIS IS ACTUALLY A GREAT OCARINA. I haven't had one before but I've played instruments enough to know when something isn't playing right. The notes play beautifully and this is heavy in a good way. It's a good, sturdy instrument that I can't wait to take on hikes. I'm super impressed!

For my Grand daughter
This was a gift for my grand daughter. She was wanting to teach herself to play in her spare time. She's very artistic and doesn't like to have down time. She loves it.

Poorly Tuned
This is not professional at all. This Ocarina is not even suited for casual use. This is no where near tuned to the proper frequencies. This is nothing more than a display piece.
