Four stars for the illustration and concept - Minus one for reading like a school textbook
This book is really cool. It's a study in contrasts. The construction of the book and the cutout pages themselves demonstrate the concepts.But, it's also just a catalogue of various geographic terms. And some of them get rather arcane for a child audience.

A wonderful read with the best use of cutouts. Our son loves water (wah-wah), and this book teaches him everything on how water roams this Earth.
