works perfectly
Received item sooner than expected. It was exactly what I needed to attach my amp to my quick connect for my sterio. Easy to install. My amp lines each had a possitive and negative line. After a little play I quickly discovered that only the possitive line is connected and was able to loop the negative around the base of the plug and secure it in place just by screwing the part back together.

A little fat. Won't fit without shaving material off a side
They are what they are, a little chubby. No problem if your RCA sockets have more distance between them

Not meant for audio cable
This plug will work well for a video cable. For audio cable it is better to find something that has screws for both the terminals. For small Audio cable this does not fit well.

Put the the Thump back into the Truck
Order this product about 2 weeks ago and finally got the time to install it. These are exactly what you need if you don't want to re-wire your rca cords running thru your car, when all you need to do is replace the end.

Will not work with typical phono line-in wiring
There is a lower limit to the wire size the Sewell deadbolt RCA plugs will work with, and it's something larger than the wire typically used for phono and audio line-in service. This is not specified in the product description. There are two areas where this causes issues; where the plug makes connection to the outer, sleeve conductor, which connection also provides a mechanical connection to the wire, and secondly to the inner conductor. For the outer sleeve conductor one can wrap some electrical tape around the wire so that the screw will compress the wire and yield a secure mechanical connection. For the inner conductor, however, the screw that compresses the conductor has a gap between the end of the screw and the housing in which the screw is threaded and in which the conductor is inserted. The typical small gauge wire used for audio line-in service is smaller than this gap so that there is no way to have the screw crimp the wire and make a secure electrical connection. I know after having tried multiple times. If the end of the screw, instead of being squared off, had been radiused to approximate the inner radius of the housing, this limitation could probably have been avoided.

Nice RCA Plugs
These seemed like nice, well made plugs, especially if you don't want to solder the leads. However I never got to use them as a few of the screws were missing. I sent them back for an exchange because I was still impressed by them. Unfortunately they were out of stock.

Decent RCA Plug, Soft Set Screws
The product works fine, however the the set screws for the center conductor are very soft. On the first one I terminated, the set screw immediately broke when tightening.
