The downside is that my cats didn’t care for it. That’s the only bad thing I can say, but if you have cats, you know. 🙄 I’m giving it 4 stars because I didn’t have it long enough to find out too much, but out of the box, it worked just fine. The upside is the easy return process.

This is a great water fountain except the battery compartment will no longer come on. Yes, I change the batteries regularly. I bought it in Jan. So I'm unable to return it. It's lasted 4 months. I do see that they sell just the battery case so this must be a common issue.

My cat and I both loved this fountain until the pump randomly stopped working, and replacement pumps are unavailable. Disappointing. I’m not ordering and paying full price for another one of these fountains just for the pump to stop working once again.*** UPDATE ONLY TWO DAYS LATER - I contacted customer service and they are sending a new pump free of charge! Very pleased, should arrive in 5 days. Great service. Can’t wait for my cat to have filtered water again.- *** I received a new pump from customer service. Thank you Katssy!!!

Well-designed little waterer. Works perfectly. The infrared was spot on. I love the battery feature, tho an electric cord is included. However, we could NOT get the cat to use it. I had to share it with a friend.

Works good, and my cat loves the freshness. The sensor is really handy so it's not running 24/7.

Amount of water it holds is great, the chrome drinking plate is so much easier to clean than our old fountain. The water flow starts and stops effectively. And our cat is enjoying the fountain.

My cats love this fountain. Less spills and I think they drink more. I have had this for about 4 months and replaced batteries twice. I thought there would be a way to plug it in and not have to use batteries, but alas no. Then the replace filter warning light came on. I ordered and replaced the filter but the warning light never goes out. Actually, I'm not sure why I thought it would as there are no sensors that monitor the filter that I can see. Not really a problem except it uses battery life and as we all know, batteries are very expensive. The fountain concept is good, without the plug in adaptor, can become expensive.

Cat loves it. I bought for the battery function as didn't want to plan in. Uses a lot of batteries. Have not bought rechargeable. Filters are difficult to find and expensive.Dispite the small flaws, I'd buy again.

I love the fact that it’s battery powered, so I can set it up anywhere in the home. The only downside is I couldn’t find anyone selling spare parts so I got a second one as a backup 😁It’s almost silent so my cat loves it 😻

Finally found a pet fountain that runs with batteries and USB cable. Easy set-up as per the manual instructions.

My earlier response was not to discredit the company, they did give me a full refund and shipping costs.My problem was the shipping label was of no use to me. Hence my out of pocket expense. To be specific the lights to indicate low water level faced the back of the unit and did not show at the front slot. Those earlier emails were not meant to be shown on any posts or reviews my appologies to the seller.Hope this clears this matter up/
