I bought this book for my nephew who is now developing an interest in aircraft, and he was extremely happy with it. Very good illustrations and well laid out. Ideal present for a young lad.

I love this book! I bought it for my dad who spent years saving up for a little airplane and two years learning how to use it! He absolutely is a skilled aviator and is so hard to find gifts for. The guy has way too much stuff (LOL) so for his 80th birthday I was agonizing over what to give him that would truly mean something and capture his interest. This book is just so gorgeous. It’s beautifully bound. The size and quality make it a keepsake and the design would make anyone want to take a look inside. It has the coolest photos that just make it a lovely book to enjoy by anyone (I hate flying and. Have no interest in airplanes) but I couldn’t stop myself from looking through the pages and buying my own copy. Lovely coffee table book, too pretty to keep on a shelf hidden from views. Looks awesome layered with other books and even better having the pages open to catch the eye. It’s made by Smithsonian (not sure I spelled it right ) is clearly well crafted and very worth the price. It’s also timeless and actually extremely informative for all but people who love airplanes and all to do with flying will be amazed by this as a gift. I am so excited to give it to my dad at his 80th party and I am really glad I spent the extra money (it’s pricey, but you can find used editions in perfect condition like i did.) so if your looking for a gift that will stand the test of time and will always be cool (it’s very historical yet seems timeless) GET IT!!
