God lens for macro

Buen lente, para jugar un poco con los macros
Tienes que estar muy cerca de lo que vas a tomar para que funcione. Poca profundidad de campo como macro, lo cual te da algunas imágenes muy interesantes.

Buy a smaller one from a competitor
Great lens! High quality but the whole unit is too big and bulky for travel

What you need to know about considering this
I first tried one of these add-on lenses for my cell phone a couple of years ago and the results were so bad I swore I would never use one again. That earlier model used an adapter that attached to the phone and then a variety of tiny lenses screwed in to it.Yes, as a professional photographer I have maybe a higher standard when it comes to any device that is involved with taking photos. But when I use my iPhone to take quick family snapshots or vacation pics I am not a photography snob. I am surprised and pleased at the quality of photos my phone can take and the reality is that the majority of photos I take with it are absolutely fine for social media, texting and emails. Some are even good enough for large-format enlargements. When I use my cell phone to take snapshots what I miss most compared to having a “real” camera with me isn’t a telephoto feature as much as a wide angle feature. I can almost always compromise the fact that I can’t get closer to a subject to zoom in on a distant object. But if the perspective I want to photograph is too wide for my phone’s lens, there isn’t a lot I can do about it. That is until I tried this Kenko add-on wide-angle adapter.I like the design of it. It’s all metal and there are no cumbersome adapters, just a clip that lets you mount the adapter over your phone’s lens.HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW1. You really can’t just clip this thing on and shoot. It is fairly sensitive to being positioned over the exact center of your phone’s lens, so you need to take the time to look at your phone’s screen until the picture looks right. For some that fussiness can be a dealbreaker.2. The adapter must touch the body of the phone and the lens has to be at the exactly right distance from the phone’s lens. That rules out using the adapter with most phone cases unless you want to take the case off your phone before taking a photo.3. Pretty much 100% of the advantage of using your cell phone to take candid snapshots is that it is always with you and ready to take a photo in seconds. Having to remember to take a clip on accessory, no matter how small, defeats the benefit of the convenience of using a cell phone camera.4. Because the adapter is wide-angle it has a close focus range, which means that dust on the adapter’s lens can result in huge black spots on your pictures. The adapter has to kept clean, which means not only carrying the adapter with you but also carrying the included case. You can’t just toss the adapter in your pocket and expect it not to get scratched and dusty. It will.5. The wide-angle adapter has quite a bit of vignetting and barrel distortion. It’s best when not used to photograph things with strong horizontal or vertical lines or details along the borders.6. This is actually TWO lenses in one kit … a wide-angle adapter and a close-up macro lensHELPFUL HINTS1. The design requires that the macro lens be mounted FIRST before attaching the wide-angle lens to it. You cannot use the wide-angle lens by itself, you must have the macro lens installed first.2. Because of what I just said, the best way to carry and protect the lenses is to have them both attached unless you think you will take a lot of macro pictures3. The seller seems to emphasize more that this is a wide-angle lens. I find that I can fudge my way around needing to get more of a scene in the photo easier than it is to focus extremely close to something. My phone only focuses about 20” away from something. Using the macro lens and I show in my sample you can focus right up to the surface of a tiny object. Beware that the focus range is extremely small when you shoot that close and it takes a steady hand to get a sharp picture.4. While having to carry a separate accessory can be considered a downside, the seller thoughtfully includes a metal carabiner clip so you can clip this lens accessory to something. One final note, there is no rule that you can’t use this wide-angle adapter on your front-facing selfie lens and in fact it works really well for taking selfies of a small group of friends with you. One nice thing about using it on your front-facing lens is that your phone case is not likely to interfere with clipping the adapter on and because almost all phones have smooth, flat fronts it can actually be easier to scoot the adapter around until it is properly centered over the lens.I like this adapter. It falls short of being perfect because it can’t be used on a majority of phones when they are in a case, and that using it isn’t as simple as just “clip and shoot”. But those aren’t severe drawbacks as long as you know about them upfront.

Works for iPhone 7Plus
When I first got this product and saw how small it was, I had doubts as to whether the diameter of the lens would be wide enough to fit over both my phone's two lenses. It does work - however, you do have to fiddle with it carefully to fit just so. Keeping that in mind, this isn't a quick clip on for this particular phone, unless you're taking a selfie and using the front-facing camera. I'm already in love with my phone's dual lenses but the wide angle lens elevates my photos to another level. I cannot wait to use it for my next vacation and capturing more of the natural vistas. As I mentioned previously, taking selfies is also next level. If you've got short arms like me, and you're taking a group selfie, you will end up cutting some people out, but with the wide angle, that problem is solved.
