Replacement Cover Still Good to Go!
Perfect replacement for iPhone 7 Plus cover - fit perfectly and very sturdy and looks great

Great / Sturdy Case
I have had OtterBox Cases on my iHhones since the iPhone 5s came out - I stick with this brand because they are consistent with quality. I bought the OtterBox COMMUTER SERIES Case for iPhone 8 Plus. I am so glad I have this case, it's protected my phone from several big falls (including hitting asphalt, loose stone, concrete and falling off a deck). All that to say, the case has done it's job, protect my phone. I also have a glass screen protector on the phones screen for added protection. Between the two of these "covers" and the "finger Loop" I have, it's pretty easy to keep my phone safe and in my hand. Pros: slim design, strong protection, great color (no issue with color getting stained), easy to clean, easy to remove, attractive, affordable, QUALITY Cons: Sometimes people say that they have trouble hearing me on the phone with this case (haven't had that complaint with my previous iPhone Commuter cases), but I have a soft voice, and this is the 8s Plus+ phone, so it's bigger and microphone is farther from my mouth - so maybe these are all contributing factors?! I've had this case for about a year and a half - it is going strong!! looks just as good as it did the day I got it and most importantly - it's protected my precious iPhone 8 Plus. Note: for my iPhone 6s I'd bought the OtterBox Symmetry case and hated it - it also fell apart within 6 months - Symmetry case was not good in my opinion, but the Commuter Series Case is spot on quality and still slim and stylish.

High quality materials make a sturdy case for iPhone 7 plus
This is a late review, I purchased this case in April 2017. This is my first OtterBox case, I got this for my new iPhone 7 Plus and I am very impressed with the workmanship thus far. I previously owned a Spigen SlimArmor case for my old Galaxy S4 (a very good, strong, lightweight well-designed case also), but since they did not make that specific case for the iPhone7+, I opted to go for more protection with an OtterBox. (Given a choice, I would prefer a more lightweight case since I carry my phone in my pocket everyday and am usually very careful with my phone anyway.) The Otterbox Defender weighs a lot more than a SlimArmor, but that definitely comes from the high quality plastic outer shell that gives it a much sturdier feel. The hard plastic outer shell attaches to the rubber fitting at both the top and bottom (the Slim Armor only attaches to the sides, so only rubber bumpers protect the top and bottom). The Defender case is definitely well-designed with protection as it's primary asset. The buttons are precise and the charging flap is still going strong with daily use for over a year now. This case has survived waist-high drops onto concrete, hardwood and tile and never even blinked. I am now using it on my bike (with a bike mount) and I'm fairly confident that this case could handle a minor accident if it happens. The one negative thing I could say is that the hard plastic outer shell does get a little slippery if your hands are sweaty.

Solid case, good customer service Amazon, and be careful when removing the phone
One year later update: Clearly the phone has been well protected. It’s survived plenty of drops. It does add more bulk than I expected but that’s generally the trade off you get for protection. At times the rubber part has a strange pine smell. What i learned from this year of use is that this case is good when you leave it on but it’s vulnerable when you install and remove it. Because if the bulk i take it off when using a tripod or gimbal. And that’s when it broke. Just like the first one (below), it broke in the bottom left corner. Still 4-stars for serving well for the year. Now I replaced it with a bumper style case and ditched the bulk. Wish me luck. Original reviews below. Attempt #1: Came with a broken left corner, I suspect from the lack of protection because of the "Frustration-free packaging." There were also a couple scuff marks on the backside to indicate it had been through something. I started the return process and Amazon quickly offered a free replacement without requiring me to return this one. I superglued the corner and gave it a try. When the replacement came, the case promptly snapped between the Apple hole and the right side, as I was taking the phone out of the slightly broken and now very broken case. Attempt #2: The replacement came promptly. Amazon upgraded to DHL international shipping to get it to me quickly. Props for that. The case itself, other than the snapping incident above, seems solid. I like the look and feel of it. Just be careful when removing the case. Don't try to bend the case to pull the phone out. The case loses. It's already been through a couple drops. One on pavement outside and one on hard floor inside, both left the case and phone in tact. I would 5-star it except for how easily the first one snapped.

I had a Defender series case on my S6 and my phone was in perfect condition the entire time
A little background info: I had a Defender series case on my S6 and my phone was in perfect condition the entire time. I literally dropped that phone a million times a day; many of those times from the top of the stairmaster! It never cracked at all. I recently purchased an IPhone and got the Defender case for it as well since I never had any trouble with it before. It worked just as expected for a while, but eventually it wasnt reading my fingerprint anymore bc of the plastic thats on the case covering it. Although I've always been SUPER hesitant about the Commuter case because it's way less coverage than the Defender, I decided give it a shot. The case LOOKS very nice on my phone since I have the matte black Iphone 7 Plus. It's a whole lot less bulky than the Defender so now I can actually fit it in my back pocket if I absolutely need to. It doesn't come with a screen protector so I went ahead and bought a privacy screen for my phone and that's working well so far. Now that the fingerprint isn't being covered by plastic, the phone is much more responsive. The case FEELS like its not as protective; feels like it will break on the first real drop since it's not rubbery like the Defender. I've now dropped the phone a few times (both times it landed face down on concrete) and I was terrified that my screen would be shattered. It wasn't. (errr, I hope I didn't just jinx myself) I suppose it has provided good protection up until now! There are no scratches, cracks or bends on my phone at this time. The one thing I really don't like about the case is how slippery the grip is. Since its not rubber, its hard to hold without it sliding out of my hand sometimes. Also, if your hands are sweaty, as mine often are, it feels a little gross and greasy to hold. Overall, I recommend the case. It looks good and offers the protection needed without the extreme bulk of the Defender. (when i do rugged activities, i do still switch my phone into the Defender case just incase)

saved my phone.
Okay, so I still think this case is made cheaper then previous models but it totally just saved my phone. I had my phone in my back pocket and I slipped on the ice onto my butt, the case got scratched up pretty good but not one scratch on my phone, I absolutely cannot believe nothing happened to my phone! I am now buying this same case again. Eating my words right now. Previous review: I must say that I am pretty disappointed with this case. I have kept my past 4 or 5 iPhones in an otter box case because "they're the best". Or were. Previously they were worth the money for the protection you received to keep your phone "investment" safe for resale later. The inside rubber has less of a lip, therefore, less protection for the screen. The hard plastic is made MUCH cheaper then before. Many reviews stated they have broke after the first removal, which I can totally see happening if you pull from the top and not the sides. I did not have this problem with my iPhone 6s+ case at all and it went through two phones and several removals and reapplications, but this IPhone 7+ case is horrible and won't hold up to that kind of use. If I knew the quality was going to be so poor I would've explored other options more so. This case is now not worth the price you pay and doesn't meet my expectations of otter box. I prefer having a full coverage screen protector for my phones, I hate it when they fall just short of the case and get fuzz and dirt built up. With previous phones I was able to accomplish this even though it wasn't recommended because there was enough of a lip to cover over the top of these types of screen protectors, with this case it took several more attempts than normal to get both the full coverage screen protector and case on without any issues and if I hit the side wrong it will still probably mess up the screen protector since there is not enough protection from the case on the edges. I would not buy this case again. If you like putting different cases on your phone this case is not for you. If you're going to put it on and keep it on you might be fine.
