Not only is this a great book of patterns, it arrived to me in perfect condition. Everything was exactly as described, I'm very happy!

Patterns include the yarn weight for every project so that choosing substitute yarns is a breeze. No need to look up each yarn and exploring the weights and gauges...blah blah....Also, they are simple textured fibers, like cotton and wool, in either worsted or dk. Many patterns have only two colors making it a perfect project book for someone learning color-work. And as the cover suggests, these are not your grandmother's patterns. The patterns are perfectly geek chic and also many of them unisex, for even the toughest modern male critics to enjoy.

Pretty nifty book with some uber cool geeky ideas. I got this for my friend who is an avid knitter. She made me the robot pillow and a few other items. She loves this book.

How can you not love a book with such adorable patterns? The pillow with the robots on the front cover has been requested, as had the atomic tablet cover. While I haven't knit anything from the book yet, all the patterns seem to be laid out very well.

I'm more interested in the cute charted designs than the actual patterns, which are mostly, but not all, straight garter stitch rectangles.

This book has great geeky motifs to use for your own designs as well as a several easy to follow patterns.

Das Buch ist wunderbar! Unsere Jungs sind begeistert! ("Stromblitze Mama!").Ich habe schon einiges gemacht. Alles ist bebildert und sehr gut beschrieben. Keine Angst vor englischen Anleitungen! Sie sind so schnell verstanden.Soetwas könnte ich in Deutschland suchen bis ich Rentnerin wäre! Vermutlich würden mir dann auch schon die unendlich öden Modelle hier irgendwie gefallen. Ich werde es nie herausfinden, denn diesen doofen Trampelpfad hab ich Gott sei Dank nie betreten!Das Buch macht sehr viel Spass! Auf geht's: die Jungs brauchen unbedingt die Strommast-Socken! Blitz-sofort!

I like this book; as I love things that are retro-futuristic. There are a good number of patterns, most of them are colourwork patterns with charts.

This looked like it would be just my cup of tea. I like knitting and I'm a bit of a science nerd. It was really disappointing. The projects on the cover are pretty much the only half decent ones. Most of the others looked rubbish in the photos. I'm a bit gutted I spent money on this.
