Only 2 contain gluten
I don't often treat myself to sweets because of the sugar content, but every now and then I will. Plus, even though these are retro, there's a few that I haven't tried. I'm gluten free and I'm pleased to say that I could only see that there were two with gluten in, which leaves a large selection for me to nibble on. I dug straight into a drumstick and whilst I remember them being on a stick, this was a long, flat one. Having said that, this made it easier to eat and it was definitely a trip down memory lane in terms of flavour. The double dip tastes good but next I tried the Vimto and whilst it tasted like Vimto when I licked or sucked on it, when bitten off, that taste that burst through, I really didn't like.I continued to munch through the box, enjoying some and others not so much, but what I didn't like, my mum did and I really appreciated that this box has something for everyone and has a good sharing quality. Also, if you're anything like me and haven't eaten these sweets for quite some time, there's a good possibility that coping and liking the same amount of sugar may be different and my tolerance for it has definitely reduced. Even so, it's a great box and it's good for all ages, maybe just in moderation.

Guaranteed to raise a smile - gift boxed and good value 'penny sweets'...
If you're looking for a perfect little 'pick-you-up' gift for those of a certain age, this retro sweets gift box would be ideal. It contains a decent amount of all those sugary favourites that could be had for a few pennies down at the paper shop. This box of delights could really brighten a friend's day. The pics show all the great stuff you get in the pack - which is attractively gift boxed. There's a gummy pizza, lots of chews, White Mice, Fruit Salads, Rainbow Drops, bubble gum, popping candy and that very divisive delicacy Parma Violets.I really like the choices in this retro gift box of sweets which will spark lots of memories about Chopper bikes, tank tops, lethal but legal toys, clothing with added static, flared trousers and Findus Crispy Pancakes. This is a gift that could work well for so many gifting occasions.Okay, these retro sweets costs a bit more than they might have done a few decades back - but they're still extremely affordable, cheaper than a bunch of flowers and will definitely raise a smile.

Great selection, a box of delights!
Retro sweets hamper gift box. This was a joy to sample. The Rad Retro Sweets box has a great colourful design with all needed ingredient information on the back and it’s a nice shape making it very giftable and easy to wrap. It’s sealed with clear stickers that you may need to cut if you don’t want to rip the box.Inside are a selection of childhood favourites, I opened this with family (all grown ups) and immediately the White Mice, Fizz Wiz Popping Candy & Rainbow Drops were snatched and devoured with smiling faces. I went for the Love Hearts Dip, Roller Fiz and Wham Bar. So much flavour, memories and sugar! It’s a case of kiss the diet goodbye and tuck in. I had to close the lid and hide the box for now. There’s a great selection in the box, 1 of each of the larger items, I did think just 2 of the small chews and 1 sherbet lolly was a little bit mean but overall I think it’s good value as a gift to make someone with a sweet tooth smile.

Surprise noms
Wow, very impressed!Felt like a little kid opening this 🤣Altho my kids were hanging around like a bad smell! The box is lovely, perfect if your gifting this sweet hamper to someone.Even has on the back, stating of some of the sweets of whats inside with their ingrediants. My loving info is the Best Before date: as i have an issue with stuff outta date. And mine says April 2022, HOWEVER checking all the sweets in this, their dates are much longer, like 2023...so to me, this is a huge thumbs up!I counted total of 30 seperate sweets .. and altho.. im not sure what price difference would be if you was to go out and buy all these, i actually prefer this hamper as its like a surprise! So the cost of this i think is good, might be on the expensive size..a little BUT worth it i recon.

Lots of chew bars!
This is a small box but tightly packed full of sweets, a few of which I remember but quite a few items for the early 80s not included. All have a good best before date, with ingredients on the reverse of the box or on the items themselves (sugar being the main ingredient!) my kids faces lit up when the box was opened, some of the sweets they’ve had as they are available still in the shops, shame it didn’t just consist of sweets no longer available to buy in the shops. The only thing I would mark down for is the box appears biased towards the chew bars, just different flavours and could have included more variation on sweet types. For the price it’s a nice inexpensive gift for any sugar lover!
