Western Digital 3TB WD Red Plus NAS Internal Hard Drive HDD - 5400 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, CMR, 128 MB Cache, 3.5" -WD30EFZX

I have ordered 8 of 3TB WD Red Plus for my TrueNas server. I also used LSI card to connect all of these HDDs. It worked on first try, and for warranty the customer service registered my product even though it was out of region. I just had to upload proof of order, which you can get a copy from "your orders", and spoke a little with WD customer service and walah, it got registered.

I was thinking I should not invest such amount in an online purchase... but I did... Now I can regret only. Hard disk is making a lot of noise, I can't trust it it may broke any time. Some ding ding and buzz noise. Really worried now as I can't use it to rely on it as my data will be save. so Wasted my money.

The packaging was appalling. 2 units of hard disk drive wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap in an amazon bubble wrap envelope! Should I return the HDD or should I take the risk of the HDD bad sector on my NAS later?

I bought this on Amazon. I'm upgrading my NAS from 6 to 10Tb. I don't think I'll ever need more. I have had no/zero problems with WD products. Pro is better than plus if only for the warranty (5 vs 3 years) and my Tb WD Red drives are past their prime and testing great. As for the purchase, its a good price but saving 32%? No. the Drive is 269 list. On this, the first of December 2023, its 239 at WD, shipped. I still go to Amazon first. They've got great prices, but sometimes the List is a bit "enhanced".

Llegó bien embalado y funciona perfectamente, apenas hace ruido. Instalado en un pc de escritorio como disco de almacenamiento masivo.

Runs quietly and cool, just wish it were higher capacity lol
