I'm Going for a Walk and will be Back Home Soon
As the mystic Joel S. Goldsmith said, our life on Earth is a "parenthesis in eternity." Christian calls that brief moment of time within the backdrop of the timeless, "a walk in the physical." This book is his own testimony about the vast, but benign nature of our eternal life in spirit and the meaning and purpose of this short walk through life on Earth.Almost all us arrive here with amnesia about our pre-birth condition. Christian came into this life with his pre-birth memories intact. He insists that he's not different from anyone else, except he knows that in the preparation stage before his current birth he specifically asked to retain a glimmer of the life prior to embodiment, a small tear in the veil of forgetfulness. This remembrance persisted through early childhood, but faded completely by about age six or seven. Later in life it spontaneously reemerged and he once again knew his origin in the divine source and his pre-birth life in the higher realms that are the true homeworld of everyone.Christian says that the veil that obscures the vision of our eternal nature is put in place by benevolent design. It's part of the equipment we're fitted with in order to carry on in this world. It's a gift, really. This obscuration allows us to feel, think, and act "as if" we actually are the small, limited beings we appear to be. Without it, we could not accept the theater of life as "real." To benefit fully from our struggles and to learn deeply from them, we must believe they are vividly real. Not only that, if there were no veil and we could see clearly into the greater realm that we come from, the call to home would be so strong that many would not have the will to confront the challenges that we planned for ourselves in this life. And yes, he says that each of us comes here with a plan, sometimes a very ambitious and seemingly overwhelming one. We can choose to take on a lot in the service of own growth and that of others. This book is his attempt to share what he realized and what continues to unfold for him. An important takeaway for me was an answer to one of the perennial questions about life -- "Why does it have to be difficult and often painful?" Christian's suggestion is that human life is an opportunity to grow by facing challenges and limitations that do not exist and cannot exist in the perfection and freedom of home. One of the properties of that greater environment is that there is no resistance to our personal intent. It's a place where whatever we wish for is easily manifested. He calls that realm a "thought-responsive" reality. The Earth is not such a place. This world is a specialized laboratory for testing, and learning under tight constraints and built-in resistance to our intent. It's a hard school and it takes a certain heroic courage to come here at all. We are those heroes. An important message in this book is that incarnation on Earth is not imposed upon us by some divine authority or by blind karmic forces. It is our choice and we do know what we are signing up for. Christian says that only some of the vast host of spirit beings in all of existence step forward to accept the extraordinarily difficult opportunity to live a life on a world like Earth. Most do not! When we do take on an earthly life, it's understood that we will fail in many ways and that even so, nothing is lost in those failures. There is no divine punishment and no need for redemption. In fact in the big picture, the entire life event is not as serious a matter as we think it is. It's just "a walk in the physical." At the end of the walk, we turn around and go back home, where all is eternally well. But just as this life is far from the beginning of our story, our return home after this brief stint in the physical is hardly the end of it. There is no end. And yet there is no need for our souls to do anything more to be complete. We already are and always have been. However we can, if we choose, engage more deeply with the miracle of creation and contribute to the infinite unfolding of the whole by seeking experiences that will expand our being into even greater consciousness and life. If that's our desire, we may try our luck with another walk on Earth and we may repeat this experience many times. We can also seek out learning and adventure elsewhere. We always have the freedom to follow our own bliss and our own wish to grow. Though no matter what experiences we choose, the core of our being never leaves the safety of home and can never be lost or harmed. That is the very Good News that Christian is able to share with us.

Clear and meaningful description of our greater reality
After a challenging experience a few years ago, my pain guided me to come back to the greater reality that is our true nature. I have been reading a lot of spiritual books to try to understand what I have been experiencing in my meditations. I feel like this book is one of the best at really capturing what I have been feeling to be real all along. I think this is a great way of giving the logical mind a clear picture of what's going on beyond our limitations in this human experience. I'm grateful to Christian for writing this book. I have the audiobook and Christian has the perfect voice for the narration. I highly recommend this book!

I did not want to be here anymore until I read this book. IT COMPLETELY BLEW ME AWAY!
I have been on a spiritual journey all my life. There have been three things that have changed me dramatically in a hugely positively way. The first thing was in the 1970s when reading the Seth material. I found out we create our own reality (wow)! In the 1990s the second major change came when I was given a book by a friend called "The Shift." I was intrigued and thrilled by this book (thank God all this crap is finally going to end!) A few pages into this book I realized that it had been written by a couple I had once been a student and employee of. This had been 20 years earlier, but I had been following them online on and off over the years. I trusted them and the shift in consciousness resonated with me. I did not know at that time that this had been going on for awhile. Therefore I was elated and began a study of how I wanted to negotiate this shift in consciousness and learned tools to help. It was wonderful, but there were some difficult things about myself I had to face in order to let go of. That was the only way into fifth dimensional reality. Then, all of a sudden, two years into working with the Shift, life became difficult for me. I did not like the way God/Source was running this show. Surely, it did not have to be this brutal? We were dealing with the mysterious Covid 19, massive earth changes began to occur and I knew they were only going to get worse, humans were being caught up in a great dichotomy of belief systems: chaos and fear on one side, and ease and love on the other. I was trying to use my tools and all I had learned about dealing with all this, but I became angry. I was furious at times. The floods, landslides, forest fires were getting to me. People and the animal kingdom were in pain and dying in horrible ways. I was evacuated a few times because of the forest fires and others were having horrific outcomes and losing their homes. I had had it!I began watching nde experiences on YouTube and some junk just to keep from thinking. I was having trouble meditating at times. Then, out of the blue, came Christian Sundberg on a youtube telling his story of remembering life before Earth! There was number three! The best of all of the things I learned. (What a relief!)I found out that WE are running this show, each and everyone of us is the writer and director of our own movie. Christian tells us WHY and HOW we are here, WHO WE REALLY ARE and even more insanely wonderful, that WE WANTED to be here during these wondrous and turbulent times. We were each specially CHOSEN for this mission that we volunteered for. My life changed and I finally understood it all!His story is incredible--nothing I have ever known before! And so is Christian. He is the nicest and most generous man I have ever known. He will take the time to talk to anyone who reaches out to him. He is incredibly intelligent and articulate. You will see that in his book, "A Walk in the Physical." It is a warm-hearted encyclopedia of the nature of reality.I am now actually thrilled to be here and live a life of joy, creation and service. We have so much to look forward to! Christian's story and help saved my life! LOVE is the answer.

Absolutely wonderful!
Having listened to many interviews with Christian Sundberg, I was surprised at how much new information this book contains that I hadn’t yet heard him speak about. It doesn’t have to be read straight through, and I love just dipping into it whenever I have a few spare moments. An absolutely wonderful and inspiring read.

Yeah right
There truly is nothing new under the sun and no matter how enticing there truly is nothing new here. l do not wish to criticize the writing as anyone can do that I simply feel it delivers at best nothing and at worse false hope. But thank you for trying.

A very important book for the spiritual seeker
This is the best book to have been written in recent years about the spiritual dimensions. The spiritual understanding is deep and profound. The detail is incredible. A spiritual instruction manual for the modern age.

Rich and deeply impactful
A beauty of a book that is a salient reminder of the whole purpose of being, if it be called purpose. Shirt manageable essays that circle back in one another, rei forcing the theme running through. Lovely

Augenöffnend und herzerwärmend - eye opening and heartwarming
Mögen wir alle sehen wer wir wirklich sind - may we all see who we truly are.
